Purchased 20 sets of these with the HD swap out. they have a 3 year warranty which is about to expire in 2013. First year, nice. I can string many together vs. only 3 or 4 with the non-led type. Second season out of 20 sets, 16 of them only 1/2 of the string lit up. I doubled them up on the tree to remove the gaps of dead lights. Then I started the warranty process...oh what fun. I even had the receipt. No one had lights. Even contacted the MFG, No luck. I didn't want a refund...which in hindsight I should have taken..because with the trade in they were super cheap. Following year 1/2 were completely dead and rest were 1/2 dead. I will trade in these dud LED's for a 3.00 rebate this year and purchase 10 sets and hope for the best. CONSIDER THESE A THROW AWAY PURCHASE. No need to go into the light color itself. Not a warm color, very white. My wife hates the color, but I love the utility bill being lower.

These lights were great, we used them for a friend's wedding to wrap around the palm trees. A little bit more expensive but it was expected since these lights are LEDs. Anyway, she can use them again at her house for this Christmas.

Pros: They last long and save you money on electricity cost.
Cons: They are NOT warm white as the images displayed on the box--they are simply white in light, and they are expensive,

the dome is more of a cone, so thats not so great.
and the product does not match the true color of the photo
on the box the lights came in.

Bought a string of these at a premium cost last year. Box in store eluded to the fact that these would outlast standard incandescent lights as they were LEDs.... After a single season of use removed lights and then brought out again in the fall for outdoor lighting, only to discover half of the light string no longer worked. I could have bought a set of incandescent lights for $2 and had the same result. Save your money and stay away from these over priced lights.
