Most Teflon Coated Irons these days have a rough spot somewhere near the holes that release the steam into the clothing. However, I have noticed a great deal of "snagging" when the Teflon is used.
I have many shirts, blouses, ties and dress slacks that have been ruined by the snag of the Teflon coated bottom of an iron. Don't care for it at all. I would much rather have stainless steel, but that information is not readily available on these pages of reference that I have been looking at.

I just bought one of these irons and I need to know if distilled water is necessary or recommended, or should regular tap water be used when using the steam feature? i have read the pamphlet that came with the iron, and no mention of this is made.
Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good iron I really like how quickly it heats up. Just remember to peel the sticky protective cover off before plugging it in!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK!!!!! If your goal is to saturate your clothes with water then this iron is for you. You have the most frustrating time using it as it constantly drips water all of your shirts and you quickly try to dry them. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Consistently BAD Purchased the first one, had to return it because when you add water, it simply runs out of the seals. Exchanged it for another thinking I just got the random bad one, but second one did exact same thing. Don't bother with this loser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price Good product. However very lightweight. Overall I would recommend if you don't do heavy ironing. I purchased for my grand daughter to use for her dorm room. It will serve the purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price!! When the steam function is being used, the iron leaks water onto the garments. I do not know why that happens, but for the price it's a pretty good iron.
