Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by grandma Works well once you figure it out.
Like some of the other people it seemed too leave the floor too wet .I found if you use it all the way down it works great and dries almost instantly.Turn up only as needed for badly stuck messes.
Handle, I still can not figure out so I have yet to use the attachments(tho I wish I had)We have a large kitchen and foyer with half bath off of it (1)tank will do all of it.
Works great on my tile in my sun room also.
The way the pads clamp on is a bit of a pain (takes 2 hands and stability, but pads wash clean so well..The cord is nice and long ,do not have to keep changing outlets.
Great buy for the price.

I bought this steamer because I wan't a tool that would help to sanitize floors, tiles, etc. My first task was cleaning the shower tiles, I quickly found that this tool is great for many tasks. It is great for cleaning in areas that are hard to get at; crevices around the toilet, baseboards, plastic chairs that have many little areas that would be very time consuming to clean by hand, windows, especially inside the base of the window frame where dirt collects, just too many things to list here. "and I've only used it once"!

I received the Model SF-292 SteamFast Multi-purpose steam mop today. I've only just used it on my kitchen floor so far. Seems to be a good product, however, a few things: when I first turned it on to use it, the beeping sound was so loud it was extremely annoying. I turned it off for awhile, then used it again. The beeping sound was much quieter, and I decided, not so bad. Was thinking about exchanging it for another model that does not make noise and has the same multi-purpose features, but, decided to keep it after all. Also, the mop cloth is kind of loose when I attach it, but, it works, and, my floor is wet after use, but, I can live with that. Over all, it seems to be a good enough machine to do the cleaning I need done. It's light, and will be easy to store. For the money, it's a good deal.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Devin not any revelation, but not bad also, better than simply mop.
about water-two kind of "issue",one is that living, behind little too wet,and other is that ,so called "ordinary"water is coming not for free, because requiring lot of maintenance. But after all,is doing its job well,so what?I don't thing, other, costing much more is in this regard better than this one, only one thing-that pads are too expensive, for one ,not too big room,(about 15x15)needs one pads, for two rooms -two pads, because one is not enough. yes,I would recommend this for friends.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Coralman It actually works
The product was easy to assemble, although it did not come with a printed manual. I had to use the one of the website. However, the mop is easy ot use and works well on my tile. It doesn't need a water filter if you use your own filtered water. It has to be flushed with vinegar every now and then to prevent mineral build-up. The hand steamer didn't seem to work as well as the floor mop. Well-worth the price.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BudL Be prepared for all the water as the steam cools !!!
Our main interest was cleaning the grouting on tile floors. It does half the job we hoped for and we're still resorting to getting on knees and scrubbing with grout cleaner. Also, be prepared with a mop to remove all the water!!! Finally, the extendable handle seems locked in place and I''ll need to go to Home Depot for help.

Just received the unit and everything works great. I took the bottom handle off and slid an 8lb dumbbell through it to add more pressure on the heating pad. I have no other plans than to use it on the floor so the dumbbell can stay on. I also didn't have distilled water but have spring water in the house so I just used it.

I got this as a replacement for a previous model. They have made major improvements in the design. This model has a much better way of attaching the mop handle than my old one (this is where my old one broke).
The new velcro microfiber cloths seem to work well. It still has the clamps, though, so that any microfiber cloth can still be used.
I'm not fond of the water measuring cup (it's too small and you have to fill it more than once to fill the reservoir.
I really appreciate that the new model has a much longer cord.
I love this steam mop (and previous versions) for cleaning my tile floors. It cleans up after a toddler and a dog and doesn't leave dirty water pooling in the grout lines. It's also a lot quicker and less smelly than traditional mopping. My mom uses it for her sealed wood floors and loves it. She said "it's easy and, since they've been using it regularly, their carpet isn't getting as dirty as they're not tracking things onto it."
