Look, stenciling is an art. If you think you are going to load up a regular paint roller with paint and apply like regular painting, then you are going to have a mess!
If you are using a roller, use a small foam roller with a small amount of paint. Before applying to wall, roll excess onto cardboard or other surface...less is more! There is no need for spray adhesive when you use minimal paint. Clean your Stencil often. You want the stencil to be thin...thick stencils are wretched!

I was very disappointed with this product. I love the design of the stencil, but paying $25.00 + $10 s&h ($35) is definitely not worth it. I am an experienced painter, and found this stencil to be very difficult to use. The first row turned out pretty nice, but as I continued it got worse. You have to spray an adhesive on each time for it to stick (which doesn't stick that well at all) plus painters tape. The stencil is so thin and flimsy that it would constantly fall to the ground. Also, you have to keep wiping the stencil or it will be covered in paint and bleed through. I felt like I spent the most time cleaning up excess paint and fixing mistakes. This stencil is a nightmare to use. I DO NOT recommend it! Not worth the money.
