Great durable, low-cost but attractive solution for a mailbox. We chose this one without the newspaper slot as we do not subscribe to a paper.

This is my second purchase of a Step2 mailbox. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the box is not wide enough to allow for an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet to lay flat and I did not see one available. However, I recommend this item.

The old box was 10 years old and the door magnets rusted and would not hold the doors shut any more.

Love this mailbox as it has an opening on the back so I don't have to stand on the road to get the mail out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TW Excellent Mailbox!! Step2 Trimline Standard Model #531800
Fast delivery, ordered Apr 17, 2016 and received it Apr 20,2016 via UPS. Assembly was easy with no problems, only 4 screws and the starting holes were already drilled. My existing 4" post had 4' above ground so I cut off 2' and installed the new mailbox. My only concern was the 2 lag bolts into the post seemed a little shorter than I would have bought. They supplied 4" and I would have bought 5". So far they are tight so I will watch it and if it works loose will replace them with longer bolts.
My wife is very happy with it, so that is good. I have noticed many Step2 mailboxes around our area although most are the full size with the news paper slot.
Definitely a good buy at $49 and Homedepot had the best price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TLS14 Looks nice. Could be easier to install.
Came in-box with top surface scratched. Hoped it would blend or fade over time; it has not. The rear door, though it hangs up, is very helpful to allow my children to get the mail (while staying off the street!). Installation was reasonable, though it was an extremely tight fit over a 4x4 post. Instructions seemed sparse. One advantage not visible online is that the finish has a nice pearlescence once you clean the blow-molding residue from the surface. If buying again, I would consider purchasing the (maybe double-width) larger model with a newspaper slot.
