Answer:
The glass is frosted. I was concerned it wouldn't be "frosted' enough but they are. I had several people stand in front of the door on the inside with the light on while I stood in the hall with the light off. I could not see them. Note- the light was not directly behind them.

Answer:
We do not recommend cutting these doors due to some variation from the interior engineered solid core that would show, but we have had customers trim each side equally to fit specific situations. The outer stile on the door unit is 4-1/8" wide on each side of the glass.

Answer:
Yes- probably as much as you need. The hole drilled for the knob on my doors is about 3.5 inches in from the outside edge of the door. The frame around the glass is solid wood.

I can't speak to the question about whether they come in primed white but I measured the 3 I have installed so far and all are 29 7/8 (29.875).

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Used as a divider in the bath Wanted to have a divider between the master bath sinks and the bedroom. Just something to make it feel and look as if the two parts were in some small way divided with out a full wall look. Seeing this door figured it could be used to do the job. It came out pretty close. When the door is received there is a plastic protective film on the glass. At first you think the glass will not be a frosted as shown in the picture. Once the film is removed, the glass is no longer see through. Thought the door was solid pine. It is not. Rather it is thin layer of pine. The door had some slight damage on the edge where the pine was chipped off. Since molding was going to be used around the door, was able to hide it but could have been an issue if you finished the door to show off the grain. October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love this door! I purchased this door to close off my kitchen from the utility room. I needed something with obscured glass that was affordable and was made of real wood! This door was perfect. It would be super easy to stain to match the other wood in your home. It is also very sturdy. It is not a flimsy door. We mounted ours on a commercial swing latch so the door will swing in either direction. I would definitely recommend this door. July 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good price, great looks I used 2 doors in a bathroom, One as a pocket door. You cannot see through the glass, but they let light through nicely. Very pleased. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased After reading several reviews I was afraid the glass would not be obscure enough for bedroom doors but I am pleased to say they do. I had someone stand on the other side of the door with the bedroom light on and I couldn't even see a shadow. The only thing I don't like about these doors (I have installed 3) is the plastic on the glass. Door one- the plastic was over the wood next to the glass and in order to stain I had to pull the plastic away and tape the door. Also the plastic wouldn't come off and I spent 2 hours with goof-off getting sticky residue off the glass. The next two door's plastic was also over the wood but when I pulled it away the plastic almost peeled completely off. So, in all I would prefer the plastic peel off easily but not overlap onto the wood. July 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value! We are building an on suite to our bedroom and we didn't want a solid door. This was the perfect answer. It's beautifully made, and easy to stain or paint any color you wish. I was disappointed that it took so long to arrive so don't be in a hurry if you order one. December 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent value and quality After pricing similar doors at other locations, I was pleased to find online just what I wanted at a great price. I stained/finshed them and hung them as pocket doors, which definitely updated the look of this space. October 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This door looks great after staining. This door looks great after it was stained and hung. I had one issue in which the width of the door was an 1/8 of an inch shorter than advertised. I had to place inserts behind the door hinges to move the door over an 1/8 inch. That is the only reason why I gave it three stars. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected I bought this door to use on a downstairs bathroom. Can't believe that you can't see through it. Very easy to stain. Going to purchase another for upstairs bathroom. March 19, 2014
