Customer Questions & Answers

Does this door come in a fiberglass equivalent?

I really like this configuration but would prefer it in a fiberglass construction for improved energy efficiency. Does the manufacture provide a fiberglass equivalent or would have the same configuration from another manufacturer?

Customer Reviews

64 in. x 80 in. Craftsman 3 Lite Arch Stained Mahogany Wood Prehung Front Door with Sidelites and Transom is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Door has warped, side lights leak, finish deteriorating When this door was installed I absolutely loved how it looked, the warmth of wood and how heavy and high end it felt.....but, the door wasn't even in for 6 months and we have all sorts of problems. The finish is deteriorating very quickly, needs to be refinished and resealed, the side lights leak, they were foggy over the winter, biggest problem is the door now hits on the jamb, so it won't shut and open properly. We had a professional carpenter install this. We called as it has a year warranty, their guy came out and said it is problems with the door and manufacturer, and not the install. He would send his report and someone would be in contact. Well no one contacted us, so we called after a month of waiting. Now they are trying not to do anything about the problems, trying to say they really can't tell if it's an install problem unless they take it all apart and the finish is because the sun hits it....., blah blah blah. We won't back down on this, they need to do something, hasn't even been in for a year yet. I will update when they make their next move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Door, Worth Every Penny Completely changed our entry way, lets so much light in. We plan on changing the color of the house to grey with white trim, but the curb appeal of this door is great. Extremely heavy, solid wood, make sure you have some muscle to help install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from INSTALLATION ISSUE We received the door and it is as nice as it appears on the HD website. Unfortunately, when you go to install it, you have to screw through the nicely finished and very visible jambs to attach it to the studs. I thought about counter-sinking the screws and plugging the holes, but the jamb is only 3/4" thick...not much room for counter-sinking and then I would be faced with finding a matching stain for the plugs. I'm thinking about purchasing dark hardware and covering the screws with matching covers.
