Product Overview

CNS-E convection heaters are an attractive and effective wall-mounted solution to heat a room. The modern European, slim-line design provides easy, flexible installation for new construction, or as a space-saving alternative for traditional baseboard heaters. CNS-E heaters have no fan, and their natural convection provides draft-free operation. The built-in thermostat has a selectable temperature range from 41°F to 86°F, and will work with an existing wall-mounted thermostat. A single CNS-E can be used as the heat source for a small bathroom or other room. Multiple CNS-E units can be placed strategically in larger spaces and their temperature settings adjusted individually for maximum comfort. CNS-E heaters range in size from 500-Watt to 2400-Watt, and in both 120-Volt and 240/208-Volt models.

  • 240/208-Volt 2000-Watt model
  • Must be hard-wired into a 240-Volt or 208-Volt circuit with a 15 Amp circuit breaker and 12 AWG wire
  • Heat output at 240-Volt is 6824 BTU/hr. approximately equivalent to 8 ft. of baseboard
  • Operation is silent and draft-free
  • Built-in overheat protection
  • Frost protection setting maintains room above freezing temperatures

Does this heater get hot to the touch during operation? Safe for childrens playroom?

Asked by: Kjcc
on high, yes, It could burn you. I went with a larger unit so I didn't have to run it on high however. I do have it in a basement/play area with a 4 year old and she understands to stay away from it just in case

is it good for cold weather states like Michigan

It is a 2000 watt wall heater. There are formulas on line to determine your need. Insulation, room size are factors. It puts out a lot of heat.

CNS 200-2 E 2000-Watt 240V Wall-Mounted Convection Heater is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.

I purchased this to replace a Cadet electric heater in my bedroom because the fan noise and hum from would wake me up. This convection heater is almost totally silent. It did creak and clunk a few times when it was very new; that has diminished to almost nothing after the first day of use. Make sure you check dimensions, as is larger than a Cadet, and requires four inches of side clearance. This heater does not come with a power cord. I had mine hardwired.

I replaced a French wall heater (Convectair Allegro) in my home that was close to three times the price and died after 4 years with this German one. It does the job just fine. I see no difference and it heats up faster. Same voltage, wattage and even the same size, just a different bracket. Easy to add a line voltage thermostat. I am building a shop with an office and this will be the heater I use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heater, easy to set up and efficient Heater works great, looks modern and is very efficient. Easy to wire to previous electric and will heat a 200 sq ft room easily. To the other review that thought it came with a cord, you wired it incorrectly, that is why it is not heating up. It will not trip a fuse if it's not wired right. Take a look and try again.

We installed this unit in our guest cottage to replace a baseboard (radiant, oil) heater. The space is about 375 sq ft. I was a little apprehensive that this unit would not heat the room quickly and completely. Wow, this heater surpassed all my expectations. First, it is completely silent, since there is no fan. Second, it puts out TONS of heat - we had to keep turning it down to the lowest setting to not overheat the room. It is attractive, with no wires showing since it is hard wired to the upper right corner of the unit. The convection technology definitely works to heat the room evenly. All in all, this is a great unit, couldn't be happier.

Once I added a new 240V circuit to my panel and ran the dedicated line, installation and hook up of the heater was easy. Works very well, looks nice and is easy to operate. It did take a few high temp runs to burn off the factory coating however. I've been using it for 2 months now (as needed) as a supplemental heater for my finished basement that already has furnace vents going to it. It is working so well by itself, I closed those vents off and now have a consistent, better controlled temperature. Temp outside during use has been from 40 degrees down to 5 degrees so far, but comfy inside

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is very good This heater is sleek and works well. It looks great and seems to heat better than our previous one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Probably will last forever but not what I expected 1) This heater is delivered without a power cord. My fiance had to connect a power cord to the unit, so it isnt something you can just open the box and plug right in. 2) In the product description it states for heating small areas but the BTU rating should heat a 400 sqft room. It barely heats our bedroom and we run it almost constantly. It is absolutely silent which is nice but I dont think it is getting the job done heat wise. Would only recommend this for a bathroom or VERY small bedroom. 3) Design is very simple white and seems to be a product that will last forever. We run it constantly and it never gets too hot to touch.
