Stiebel Eltron developed tankless electric water heating technology 90 years ago and continues as the industry pioneer and world leader. Our engineering and manufacturing tradition of excellence means you can depend on the performance and reliability of our products. Instead of storing hot water, DHC models are tankless, heating water instantaneously and endlessly as it flows through the unit. They are 99% efficient, and, unlike tank-type water heaters, have no stand-by energy losses. No venting is necessary, and the sleek, compact European design even allows for installation with the unit visible. DHC models are ideal for residential and commercial point-of-use sink applications including: bathrooms, cabins and cottages, office buildings, stores, malls, warehouses, restaurants, and gas stations. DHC models are sized based on the flow rate of the sink you are plumbing for hot water. The temperature of the hot water delivered by a DHC depends on the temperature of the incoming cold water, the water flow through the unit, and the size of the DHC model that is installed. DHC models excel at supplying water at a constant temperature rise but must be carefully matched to the application in order to operate properly. Refer to the DHC Sizing Guide and Temperature Rise Chart under 'More Views' to determine which model you need. Call Stiebel Eltron at 800.582.8423 if you have any sizing questions.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Do your homework befoe buying The first one I bought was a 10-2 for a 1 sink bathroom in the garage, Found out when installing that it required #8 wire and a 50 amp double pole breaker, the garage was on a 60 amp breaker from the house. Luckily the water heater in the house went out right after installing this in the garage so I ordered a 3-2 for the garage and took the 10-2 and put it on the house and all worked out good, remember look at what power consumption you will be using when installing, it only pulls that much for short periods of time, but it requires massive draws of power for hot water usage. If you have gas, that is the way you should go. May 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This line of products has great features This particular model was too small (in heating terms) for my needs, so I returned it and have an alternative model on order. November 5, 2013
