Check if the slide cover for the light sensor is opened? It won't turn on during the day if it is not closed.

Ultra Bug Zapper is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must buy I was worried to buy this. But I'm glad I did. I normally don't write reviews but this product is so good that I just had to. My bug zapper is killing everything. I'm telling you. It's good. Also if your green. It saves energy. It has a switch that will only turn on at night so your energy bill stays low. I don't care what anyone says, I am so impressed with this thing. I'm ganna buy them as gifts for people. Lol I recommend to buy buy this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Investment this Summer the product was ready to go straight out of the box, no assembly required. I live across from a lake and the mosquitoes are really bad out here. Initially I didn't want to get a bug zapper because I was worried about accidentally killing helpful insects but the Stinger's convenient setting switch relieved that fear. I can set it to automatically turn on at dusk and turn off during the day. The attractant works really well. It started killing immediately. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues after 2 months I haven't had any of the issues stated in other reviews thus far. Works well, but can get clogged with the larger flying insects. But a quick couple taps usually clears it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought 3 years ago. It has taken a beating, but keeps on ticking! Bought this 3 years ago. The smaller versions were sold out and I was going crazy of all the mosquitoes. It works great! Every year I do have to replace the light bulb, but it's well worth it! Make sure you clean it as well too. An air blower is great to use on it. I unplug it and use a stick for those bugs that cling to the metal cage inside. I hang this zapper outside under a tree using an aluminum wire. I dropped it once, it was a 5 foot drop and daylight sensor didnt work anymore, so it stays on all the time when plugged in no matter how the switch setting is placed. There are times when a sudden rain storm comes and I forget to bring in my bug zapper. It'll trip the switch from your breaker box if it gets wet and connected. So when the rain stopped. I unplugged it, kept it dry (in a dry spot) for a few days so internal circuit dries. Then it's good as new. Remember, the first few days the zapper will be zapping away constantly if you're the only one with it and if there are alot of bugs close by. but after a few days it'll calm down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for 1 hour and died This is worthless. Installed it and the auto sensor turned it on around 8pm. Worked for less then 1 hour and then the light went out and the power grid no longer had power. After looking at all the reviews this is a problem unit that needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We have a 2 acre property in a semi-rural area which is plagued by mosquitos during the summer. I bought two of these, one for the front of the house, the other for the back. The first evening that I plugged them in it was like a firework show :-) Constant sparks. After about 2 weeks the units are showing results. Working in the yard I am getting bitten far fewer times than before. There is still a great deal of activity (zaps) especially as night falls, but my view is that each zap is one less critter to bite me. One good design point is the slanted grill surrounding the zapping element, which seems to stop some of the larger insects, such as moths, from getting fried. I would definitely recommend this product and wish that I had invested in them before.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from piece of junk I bought one of these last year and it worked great all summer. Brought it in the house to store it last fall and put it out this spring and the electric grid was dead. Called Kaz because it had a 3 year warranty and was told to send it to their repair facility in TX (at the cost of $20.00) and 3 weeks later I received a replacement but I was better off with the one I sent them the only thihng that worked on the replacement was the led. Called them again and they said they would send me a shipping label the following week i get the shipping lable and sent it off to MA. Friday I received the 2nd replacement but again the black light didn't work and the grid went dead after a few hours. On Monday I will call them again and see if I can get my money back. I live in Maine and still can't get rid of the mosquitos and now it is August
