Answer:
This unit is non-electrical - no batteries, no power connection - all powered manually by you... you dump the water in manually from a pitcher, bucket, hose, etc...

Answer:
You dump the water in yourself...I just place the unit under the bathtub facet....but it's totally manual (so there's no battery, just a bit of muscle required).

Answer:
To fill the Laundry POD, simply remove the lid and fill halfway with water. The Laundry POD is a manually operated portable washer. Rather than using electricity, you simply rotate the lid's handle to spin the clothes.

The ad says it uses 5 gal of water. Is that per cycle, wash & rinse, or is that per load beginning to end, 2.5 gal per?

After rinsing your clothes, simply open the drain valve and drain the water through the hose stored in the Laundry Pod's base. Rotate the handle to spin the clothes until they are slightly damp.

The clothes are no longer dripping wet after a minute of spinning, but they are definitely still wet. I then hang them on the line. I am certain that if I would spin it longer, the clothes would be dryer, but this works for me. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well, Fantastic Spin Feature I was skeptical about this product, but it certainly does the job. Make sure the tub and top are placed on a flat surface when using. The spin feature wrings out all the soap and water, clothes will not be dripping when they are hung to dry. July 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well but Effort Required The Laundry Pod is very handy to have around. We live in a boat, so I was spending a lot of time at the Laundromat. This gadget can't handle my sheets and towels, but it does just fine with everything else. ...but, be advised, it does take a bit of effort. Rotating the handle when there is a load of clothes and water in the barrel is a bit of a workout (which is not a bad thing if you don't have time to go to the gym). It can handle two pairs of adult shorts and two shirts with the accompanying socks/underwear in one load...more than that and it gets a bit tight. Just be sure you let the clothes soak a bit before starting the 'rotation'. For me, it's perfect as long as I remember to do a load every other day . July 29, 2014
