Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very useful material The shims feel very sturdy, and have an even and smooth finish. They can be cut with scissors. I used them to shim out one side of a window trim, where the evenness and long length was a definite advantage. I will use them on some other window and door trim to compensate for uneven walls. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This good spacing material This is 100% better than the material the store stocks. Why don't they stock this? March 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works good If you have uneven studs this will make in stalling drywall easier. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Drywall Shims These Drywall Shims are absolutely wonderful. I can not express how pleased I am to have them. They are ideal for all large renovations or repairs. Whenever there is a large area that needs repairing with possible water damage to studs, it is almost impossible to accomplish without replacing the studs or employing the shims. As far as I am concerned, shims is the option for me. My weight bearing jousts are in good shape so I'm sistering all and/or any weakened studs. Great product and I certainly recommend for any large renovation or repair. November 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Awesome product for leveling a ceiling. Just staple in place. August 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Perfect Size For A Shim I purchased these shims because they are a reasonable size (.070, about 1/16") to correct stud alignment errors on a bathroom tile job. They also make up the difference between Hardibacker and sheetrock. They can be stacked and stapled to existing studs as desired. August 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Shipping, Product Worked Well I needed to level some rafter ties in the attic and bought a set of these shims to do so. In some places I had to put as many as 8 shims because that particular tie was 1/2" out of level from others. They are made of dense incompressible cardboard and serve well to level or plumb studs/rafters etc. Just don't forget to buy longer drywall screws as needed if several shims are used. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by simple but great product I am currently in the process of turning a barn built in the 1860's into a finished work space. The studs were all rough cut lumber and are extremely uneven when comparing how far out each stud sticks in comparison to the neighboring stud. This product was EXTREMELY helpful in the process of dry walling the wall and ceiling. Super easy, just stack up as many pieces as you need and nail them in then put your drywall on top. My only complaint is that neither HomeDepot or Lowes sell this product in stores so I had to order it online. This is a must for anyone with an old home who is putting up drywall. September 16, 2014
