Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Evilyne Is there such a thing as a good baby gate?
Advertises easy installation and claims it will work in drywall. Drywall anchors provided pulled out of the wall while screwing the unit in. Due to the design of the latch (hinges get lifted each time the gate is opened) I do not believe better anchors would have fixed the problem.
When mounted in wood the gate is just "okay". 1 day in and my 17 month old daughter is already figuring out that while she cannot operate the latch, she can turn the screws until they pop out of the latch and don't hold the gate closed any more.
This is the 3rd gate we have tried and it looks like it will not be our last.

With a very active 3 year old and an 11 month old, this gate has proven to be quite helpful in allowing me to get some tasks done around the house. A previous reviewer seems to have trouble opening it with one hand, but I've never had a problem opening it.
My 3 year old is constantly trying to figure out how to open it, as he can't climb over it, and it's the ONLY gate that he hasn't been able to knock down. I would buy this again and again and again. In fact, I have an extra one in case we need to close off any other rooms in the house.

The directions were very easy to follow and the gate was easy to install. In fact I was able to install with no assistance. I really like how well the gate looked once it was installed. Good quality gate. The only down fall is I have a smart dog (mixed Beagle/Lab) and she is able to open the gate from the bottom. That's okay, I bought the other gate too with the small pet opening and she figured out how to squeeze through that opening. I still recommend the gate.

This gate is just what we needed. I installed the top latch and left the bottom one off. The gate is easy to open with one hand. The gate has a foot to lessen the strain on the screws.
Suggestion. measure the gate before instillation including the fittings. Assemble the gate for width on a table.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LCP123 My two year old can pull this gate open
This gate is fine for infants, but is worse than useless for toddlers. My two year old pulls on it (back and forth), and it pops open; sometimes, it smacks him in the face. This is due to the design of the latch.
The screws that come with it are also of poor quality; the heads sometimes bust off even if you you have drilled a pilot hole.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MisterDad Latch is difficult to use
Installation was easy enough and gate feels fairly sturdy. It takes two hands to open and even then it is somewhat difficult. I will be taking this back. Kind of pointless if the gate can't be opened while carrying one of the kiddos.

Not what we wanted. Sorry, I will be returning it.

I was pleased with the gate's weight and quality, and have since been pleased with its adjustability. Installation was quite straightforward, and I am confident it will work well.
