I bought this kegerator to replace an Edgestar BR2000SS I bought last year and returned due to noise, foamy pours, and not fitting a full keg. Try shipping a kegerator back after you threw away the box, not fun. Anyway, I've had this for 2 weeks now and I think overall it's pretty good, with a 1/6 keg inside. I ordered online and it took a couple weeks but it was worth the wait.
No foam once I got it adjusted
Good packaging, double boxed, industrial wrap to protect stainless steel
Stainless steel door and top
All other surfaces are "stainless steel look" including the bottom
Fairly quiet when its door is closed
Tapright brand sankey tap
Comes with line cleaning kit
Return policy, 90 days
Beer pours at 43 degrees with setting of 4 out of 5
Not as heavy a tower as what came with my Edgestar, seems prone to scratching but we'll see
Door not reversible (opens from left only)
Someone mentioned the tower coming off due to poor screws, I didn't see any issues. Underneath the stainless le steel top is a layer of something drillable, like a resin. The holes are all predrilled, but I did manually screw in all the screws when I saw the layout to avoid stripping them.
The CO2 bottle actually sits inside the unit, not sure if it'll fit a full keg but it seems big enough
Because CO2 is inside, pressure should be set slightly lower (I think)
The keg slats are an interesting idea, I'll update the review once I use 'em on a full keg.
Check the dimensions when placing this, it looks about 6" wider and a couple inches deeper than the cheaper ones.
Castors don't lock, so muscling in a full keg could be dangerous as the unit slides around. Even opening the door moves the whole unit if it's not on carpet. It looks like it takes standard 2" castors, so that's not a deal breaker.
No recess or handle on door, you just feel for the seal and open. Yet the built-in version of this same kegerator comes with a pretty nice looking SS handle. Who's ever going to be opening the door anyway, though? I see the point.
Drip tray is cheap looking and doesn't seem purpose built. Check out the high end Summit outdoor versions. This tray doesn't look like that, unless I'm missing a piece.
I think this kegerator is a great starting point, and it works for me. I'm comfortable doing some upgrades here and there like the casters, a real kegerator drip tray, maybe a dual tap, etc. That being said, I appreciated being able to set it up in less than 2 hours, and have it operating fairly smoothly the first night. It pours nice and consistantly after not too much adjustment, and has a lot of potential. You can definitely get other units for less that come with more, but there is a noticeable difference in their quality.
I don't know if this rates as expensive "consumer grade" or value "commercial grade" but it works for me!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NHbeerguy Nice unit, cold beer, and quality parts.
I have had this for about 2 weeks. It looks nice with the all SS top. My former one a different brand that cost 499 died. I wish I bought this one the first time and saved the headaches I had replacing all the lines and parts on the cheapo one I bought four years ago. I have it set at 5 and it is 33 degrees air temp inside so the beer is nice and cold. It is very quiet. You can find it maybe $50 cheaper online if you search but HD has a great retrun policy for 90 days so that alone was worth it to me. I ordered it onliine and it was at the store in 4 business days. Great working with HD. Great fridge and do yourself a favor spend a little extra it will be worth it in the long run.
