Customer Reviews

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible product! It didn't even work! difficult to hook up and the oven didn't work! Summit only offered to send repairman. Why would I want it fixed when it's new? It should work out of the box. Great European design but quality is lacking and parts are chinsy (like the knobs), wobbly and loose. The manufacturer should have sent me a replacement even if it was a little more expensive but they refused. They told me the model was new and they had only sold FIVE units, mine being one of them. They said that sometimes they have no way of knowing with a new product. It's made in Turkey (after all they said Made in Europe if you consider that, that) and they don't seem to have quality control. The only reason why the store took it back was because it's a 24 inch and isn't considered an appliance but general merchandise. Summit told me the store wouldn't take it back but thank god they did. I will never buy another Summit product again. February 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A slide-in range that is functional and easy to use I ordered this range, because it is a moderate size, it has no backsplash so that it looks like a slide-in counter-top range, and would fit it well with our kitchen design which has a tile backing on the rear wall. Other features of the range are very low electrical consumption and a moderate width of 24" which means 6 more inches of counter space that otherwise would have been taken up by the range. The range arrived on time and works fine. The propane conversion was simple to do and all the necessary parts are provided. Incidently, we were not satisfied with the difference between "full-on" and "simmer". We called up Summit about this and they were very helpful, providing information about how to make the adjustment, and offering to send a service man to do this. This was an easy fix. We have been using the range for 6 months, and it seems to function as advertised. We have tested the temperature indicator on the dial and it is accurate to about 10°F This appliance cost us more than $700, and for this price there are some features that could be added: There is no timer, so we had to buy one for a few dollars. There is no independent temperature indicator that could tell you when the oven is a full temperature. We had to buy a thermometer which we keep inside the oven to follow progress. This unit could be improved with the addition of an LED display unit on the front to tell time and temperature. The cook top has a grill as usual to support pots and pans during cooking. However, the opening is a little too wide, and some small pans (including our coffee-maker) are not well-supported. Other than these few comments, the stove seems to function well: it lights promptly, it is easy to clean, and overall easy to use. If I had the decision to make over, this is the model that I would choose. August 27, 2015
