I had my heart set on a Viking 24" stove...but it was just too expensive. I combed through every other 24" stove I could find to figure out how I could get the most features at a lower price. As anyone who has searched for a 24" stove know...there is just not a lot of choice. So, while I agree with the other reviewers on some of the negatives -
1.) The plastic 'window' that protects the built-in clock also melted on my stove. (Note to Summit: Why plastic folks?!? How much more could it possibly have cost to make this glass instead of plastic?! Hello!)
2.) There are places where the metal edges are sharp and you could cut yourself if you're not careful. While you don't come into contact with these edges during regular use, if you're cleaning the stove for example, you have to be very careful. If you slide a paper towel along the inside edge of the oven door for example, and the paper towel isn't thick enough or you're not paying attention, you could slice your finger. Again, nothing you have to worry about when you're using the stove or the oven for cooking. But when you clean the oven, you have to be careful.
In my opinion, the positives outweigh the negatives.
1.) I wanted a stainless stove(!) There aren't many options. And this one looks very nice/modern, matches my other appliances really well.
2.) While the broiler door is a little awkward, once you get used to it, it's no problem. Basically you just lift up and then forward. You have to lift it up first to 'un-catch' it, and then it opens just fine. This feature keeps the oven door securely closed when you're cooking and since the handle is low to the floor where it could be kicked or a child could potentially get at it, it's probably a worthy feature even if it takes a little getting used to.
3.) This is the only stove of it's size that has an interior light that you can switch off and on.
4.) Even though the plastic that covers the clock will probably melt for anyone who cooks on the stove, regardless, it's a nice feature to have a built-in clock and alarm (and I didn't see this on any others.)
5.) Having both a regular oven AND a broiler is a big bonus. I can grill salmon in the broiler - about 6 min. each side and it's done, cooked perfectly. So nice.
6.) I've had no problems what-so-ever with the cook-top. Completely level. And if it's not level, all of the feet on this stove have an adjustment feature. You can adjust the height of each foot separately by turning them up or down. When I put a level on my stove it is perfectly level, and my kitchen is totally crooked (100 year old building in Boston!)
For the price, and compared to 'what else is out there', I'm actually really happy with this stove!

I purchased 2 of these stoves and both thermostats need to be replaced. Very dissatisfied with the quality of this product. Broiler drawer is very difficult to open. I paid 900.00 e Do not buy this poor quality stove at such a high price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jimmydue It's really the worst stove I've ever had .
The plastic coating over the digital clock got warped from the heat of the stove, leaving it with a wobbly appearance. Worse still is that the ceramic casing around the ignitors cracks sometimes when pots boil over and they get wet. I've had to replace ignitors 6 times in just one year. The screws that are supposed to hold down the top cover don't do so evenly and so it is unbalanced. The metal racks over the burners are impossible to get clean, have no traction .

Worst product that can be bought for your kitchen. The quality of this range is awful, has a lot of rough edges that you can easily cut into your skin. The inside of the oven is not sturdy and very fragile defeats the purpose of an oven. Bad customer service when it comes to calling Summit, I would NOT suggest buying it not worth price, I was very disappoint with this item.
