I am wanting to install it in my basement upflush system and the regular float type switch does not kick on until the liquids get to about 4 inches in depth and there is only about two inches before the liquids start leaking. I need the switch (and therefore the pump) to kick on at about three inches in depth.

Answer:
Thank you for the question, this switch cannot be adjusted to turn on at 3in. It will require about 10 in. of water to activate this switch if setup properly.
