is the boat easy for two people to lift?

my husband and i are in our 50's, is this boat light enough for us to carry?
Asked by: moe
Hey moe, This boat weighs 106 lbs. and appears quite bulky, with no visible handles to aid in lifting. ShannonS stated in the reviews that the boat is, " Lightweight enough that two adults can carry it about...", so I assume that it can be gripped to carry. Thank you for asking, -Travis

What length of oars are recommended?

Asked by: BRM
Howdy BRM, A well known rule of thumb for figuring oar length is that approximately one-third of the oar will be inboard of the oar mount and two-thirds outboard of the mount. Observing this ratio will help ensure that your oars are well balanced for comfortable rowing. The manufacturer recommends 6' oar length. Happy rowing, Coach Dave

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great small application boat This is a great boat for ponds, even those 20+ acres. your can rowir(oars sold separately) or add a small motor (like trolling) up to 5hp. it has oar pin holders, however they are in a plastic boat so they are obviously not for rowing in bad conditions. but it is spacious for what it is. We love it and use it for maintenance on our 1+ acre pond. would definitely recommend it. you will need a socket wrench to install oar brackets, and or a black and decker style drill/driver as the oar screws go into lock nuts and are difficult to turn by hand. Actually has a hull number for registry, and an owners "title" for transfers if you sell it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for our pond Perfect for pleasure rowing on our pond. Lightweight enough that two adults can carry it about and rugged enough that I don't worry about puncturing it on rocks, etc. It is quite small so I wouldn't put more than two adults in it. Has a place to attach a small boat motor at the back of the boat. If I had one complaint it would be that oarlocks are not ideally situated (for me). If you're on the middle seat and want to row, you must have your back to the bow. The only way to row and face forward is to sit all the way at the back of the boat. However, oarlocks can be easily moved by taking out screws - but you'd likely have to make guide holes with an electric drill to screw oarlocks down in a new location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water Tender Boat Great little boat , perfect for my needs. Try one !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly stable in rough water and wind. I have owned the boat for a month now and it does the job well. I use it in brackish/salt water for crabbing, towing my grandson on water toys in the lagoons, and fun cruising. It's powered by a 4 stroke, 4 hp Mercury which drives it well. I've taken large wakes from 30' boats with no problem. The only minor downsides are that the storage area in the stern under the round deck plate leaks rain water, soaking the internal storage bag, and the engine (15 inch) sits too low on the transom and hits bottom in shallow water. All things considered, this boat rates an easy 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent small boat The Sun Dolphin Water Tender is great for small lakes and ponds. We bought it to use as a rowboat on our new lake. It can be handled well by children as young as 7 or 8 with adult supervision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price. Solid ship. The tender was delivered ahead of schedule and intact. It appears to be rugged in construction with a wide beam for stability. There are plenty of seats and I look forward to rowing it or using my electric motor this Spring.
