Answer:
Dear Mozart,
The tiller will only shorten to the height it was packaged at. There is no way to lock it in place at a shorter height.. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 58 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good The tiller was priced right. The perfect size for our small garden. And received it surprisingly fast. Very pleased. August 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handy little cultivator Obviously, this isn't a heavy duty tiller. However, I found it quite effective. I killed off a few areas of lawn, then watered it well to soften the dirt, let the dirt dry enough not to be muddy but not rock hard dry and then used the cultivator. It doesn't dig down into the ground right away. I let it scrape the top layer and slowly work down as deep as I need to re-grade the area and plant perennials or reseed. If rocks or large clumps of turf are caught in the tines, it doesn't have the torque to push it thru, it stops the tines from rotating. But even when stuck, it is easy to manually rotate the tines to let the debris disengage. I certainly would not have been able to do as much with just a shovel for sure. It is light and easy to maneuver. The only negative is the safety button needed to allow the trigger to work the tines is on the left side of the handle so it would be awkward for lefties. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT. Too lightweight. Burned out on second use. ........ August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional product for small gardens The Aardvark 2.5 Amp Electric Garden Cultivator was everything I expected it to be and then some more. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best for weed control. This is an excellent tool for weeding between plants. It's light, easily maneuverable, and does he job. I refer to is as an “electric hoe” more than a cultivator or roto tiller. It digs in only a few inches, hardly enough for serious soil preparation, but for cutting weeds, it’s excellent!. It has some drawback. If a stone gets lodged between the tines and the body the clutch slips. That’s to be expected. This is not a heavy duty tool. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WAY too weak. Powerless. 2.5 Amps = useless I purchased this online and within 5 minutes of using it, I knew I needed to return it because it is so weak. It needs more power. You barely push down on the ground and it stalls. You can basically cultivate about 1/4" of packed dirt on a pass. If you want to break up 3 or 4" of packed dirt, this isn't going to do it even after 50 passes. It cannot break a root that is hair thin. A tulip would make this thing stall. 2.5 amps didn't really help me so I'll try to put the power of this into terms you can understand. We all understand horsepower, but this would have to be measured in mosquito power. 2.5 amps = 14 mosquito power May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sun Joe 2.4 amp tiller I love this product! I have used it to eliminate weeds in my mulch, create a trench between my mulch and lawn, loosen soil around plant s and dig holes for planting. You do need to stop and remove items that get stuck in the blades such as rocks, vines, spidery roots. I love the convenience of it being electric and lightweight. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sun Joe Tiller Appears to be a good tiller, have only had it one day but seems to work fine. July 12, 2016
