Nice pressure washer for around the house use. Easy to move around from job to job. Have used it to remove mildew under eaves, clean driveway, back deck, and vehicles. Has single point and fan spray settings. Plenty of pressure for small around the house jobs and much easier to set-up and move around than bulkier professional units. All you need is a garden hose and electrical outlet. It even has a reservoir for a detergent additive. It's just right for my needs.

I bought this washer to clean a 530 Sq. foot mobile home roof. The High pressure setting only cleans an area about the size of a pencil. My roof will take a long time to clean at that rate.
The soap holder and it's lid fall off very easily due to a very, very poor design.
This washer is going back!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mastadruma THE PERFECT PRESSURE WASHER! SO SIMPLE! SO EASY!
WOW! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SUN JOE PRESSURE WASHER! I have waited so long to find a SIMPLE washer that doesn't make a mess, or leak, or make spraying a clumsy affair! SUN JOE did it right with this Model 1740.
There is ALWAYS a need for one of these in every home. I have been making a list of "Must Spray" items to do at my place. I can think of a few great reasons: stained driveway, muddy/moldy/mossy fences, dirt and slime on stairs, washing my deck, and cleaning my home siding!
Out of the box, the Sun Joe Pressure Joe is 90% built. All I had to do was screw on the handle and the front "C" clamp to hold the soap dispenser. After that, I connected the soap dispenser feeder hose to the machine. Lastly, I connected the front end of the sprayer wand to the back end of the sprayer. This was done with a simple quarter turn. BOOM! DONE! All I had to do was plug in the power cord, connect the garden hose, turn on the machine, and spray away!
The quality is amazing! This machine does NOT hemorrhage any water. This was the first thought of mine..."yeah, it's so powerful that it's bound to leak!" -- This was not the case. Nothing leaks! When you squeeze the trigger on the sprayer, the pump engages and the water flows. When the trigger is let go, the machine stops.
The spray: The sprayer is so powerful that it actually removed some wood from my pressure treated wood. I had to adjust the wand to make sure that I didn't do that again. MAKE SURE to test the settings on an area that you're willing to break, just to make sure you have the hang of it.
The Housing: This washer is made of impact plastic. It is not cheap.
The electrics: The motor is seated back and to the bottom of the unit. It is out of the way, in the event of the unit being flooded when disconnecting the hose. The power switch is sold and doesn't wobble or feel cheap. Off is at high noon and on is at 2pm. A simple click to the right and you're working!
The power cord is VERRRRRY LONG! This is great because you need to be able to walk it out. I need to research if you can use it with an extension cord. I don't believe they recommend that.
Garden hose connection: This connector is intelligently designed. It has a permanent female-to-female connector that allows your to screw on your hose with great ease. It's made of impact plastic to survive years of on-and-off use.
Please don't mess around with another unit. This Model 1740 is PERFECT for the average home owner. It'll deep clean and wash your car!

As far as electric pressure washers go, this one is about as good as they come. Assembly was pretty minimal but largely unintuitive, though that seems to always be the case with electric pressure washers. There were several gaps in the instructions, but it wasn’t too hard to figure out. I had it up and running in about 15 minutes.
The nozzle is adjustable, making it possible to go from an incredibly strong pinpoint sized stream to a wide swath with a simple twist. I found that this pressure washer effectively removed dirt and grime buildup from a driveway with a spray up to 2.5” - 3" wide. Past that it still removed some dirt, but not all of it. Obviously if you have very large areas you’re hoping to clean with this pressure washer, you might want to look into a gas unit.
This unit has a long cord and hose, making it possible to cover a large area without moving outlets or hooking up an extension cord. The connections are also very solid – no leaking around the garden hose input. I’ve used 3 or 4 electric pressure washers in the past, and they all leaked at least a little, so that part about the Sun Joe impressed me.
Once you’re finished using it, this unit is self-containing – there is onboard storage for the wand, the hose & the cord, making storage easy.
Overall, this is an excellent little power washer, ideal for occasional usage like cleaning driveway/decks and washing the car or vinyl siding. For large areas or very frequent use, you probably want to invest in a more robust unit, but for the average homeowner, this is ideal.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BuckyGirl Works great for cleaning your vehicle, patio, and walkway
This has a lot of power for washing my car. I like that it has a soap dispenser so definitely makes car washing a lot easier, however for washing my home I’m not sure it has enough power for that. I cleaned the concrete sidewalk and it was fine, but the siding of my house was not as easy to clean. I’m very happy with the price and performance as the main use I want it for is washing sidewalks and my car, although I will be using it for the siding once in a while and it works ok for that as long as you soak the siding with some powerful cleaner first. I bought this bleach cleaner that Home Depot sells for house siding and patio furniture and that worked very well along with this pressure washer. This unit is light to move around and it doesn’t leak. I will post a photo to show you the final assembled product because it doesn’t come with assembly instructions, so you just have to figure it out yourself. Most of it is common sense, but for the two different size screws you will need to use the smaller two screws for the front of the soap dispenser even if it looks like they are too thin (you will later be able to adjust after the two thicker back screws are in place). The plastic bottle won’t fit in the bottle holder until you remove the cap and tube. Also, it comes with a cleaning pin which for some reason it was taped to the Spanish safety instructions booklet instead of the English booklet so don’t be too quick to toss it. I wish the wheels were rubber instead of hard plastic.

After reading numerous reviews, I decided to purchase this unit. Ordered it thru Home Depot on line, came in when it said it would and picked it up. Package had a tear in it, but had been opened and inspected for damage, which the sticker on it said was ok. Got it home and unpacked it, unit was undamaged. Read the directions, and put it together with no problems. Used it the next couple of days to clean my tile patio, screens, and furniture. Works great! The only thing I wish is that it had a way to change the tip; this unit has an adjustable tip, which at the greatest pressure only puts out a pencil sized stream of water. But for what I need it to do, am happy with it.
