Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheYardMan Shredder Joe Leaf Mulcher Review
Product design for assembly was very simplistic. The shredder has a strong motor utilizing filament line for shredding the leaves and adjustable damper to regulate size of discharged leaf particles. A large hopper allows feeding in leaves for maximum efficiency so the job gets done with minimum effort and time. I thought the purchase price was on the high side, however after using the shredder, I believe that with some longevity the cost will be a great bargain.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Austin Okay but not great
It deals with small, dry leaves well enough, but gets tangled up easily and chokes on the (short) stems of English ivy, even dry ones. Would not recommend.

Picture this ... take your string weed whacker, and place it against a hard object, and do not move it away. See how long it takes for you to go through a spool of string? If you rake up a small twig, a nut from a tree, or a pebble, it sits in the bin hitting the string, grinding the string down to a nub. I spend more time replacing the strings, and meticulously separating what I rake up, than I do actually mulching. I bought last Fall, and did not use it until this Spring ... wish I would have tried it earlier and returned it!
If it had a metal grinder, you could hear something was not mulching in the bin, and take it out ... Instead, you know something harder than plastic string is in the bin, when you hear a whirling noise; meaning it ground the string down to nothing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Molly I'm not sure how I lived without it!
The shredder was easy to assemble and it's easy to move around due to the handles. The product does exactly what it says it does. The only downfall is sometimes the telescopic legs loosen. That could be me not tightening them enough or due to vibration.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nellie Easy to Use Leaf Shredder!
Easy to assemble with clear directions. I raked a quarter of an acre of land with lots of last year's leaves and I only had to replace the plastic wire once which was very easy to do. The plastic wire is sturdy and strong. Shreds the leaves very fine; almost like dirt...true to the 16 bags to 1 ratio. Can use the shredded leaves in compost.

Turned dry leaves into a nice fine materials. Where there were sticks it used up the line a lot fasten than anticipated.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2mnecars leaf shredder, good idea, bad product
While operating, this shredder did a pretty good job. The bag attachment means is just an elastic band but holds a 39 gallon bag well. The thing eats up string quickly and I poorly insulated from flying dust made by the shredding process. The legs are cheaply made and one of three didn't fit, kept falling out. After 4 days of use I had bagged 9 bags and when I turned it on the next day, it just didn't start. No noise, smoke, pop or anything, just quit working.
A neighbor stopped by and said he wanted one but heard the motor fails too quickly. Mine quit the next day. Don't buy this one. Home Depot made the refund.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hemicro Good pricing on a good product
The product went together easily. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but went ahead and tried the shredder anyway. I am happy I did as this shredder works great. You do have replace the easily replaced line more often if you run twigs, rocks or bark through it. It is loud. I also built a wood base for it so it set on a large trash barrel. Using the trash barrel is much easier than using bags. Its not a commercial unit but for home use it will do the job.
