We set these up in my daughter's room to help block out the sun in the am to try to keep the room as dark as possible. These do not darken the room at all in a rising sun facing room. They would be fine in a different facing window but for what we purchased these for, it was a huge mistake. Of course, I didn't open them right away so it's too late to return. Ended up buying a different item at Target to put underneath to really darken the room.

These curtains will not be suitable for you if you:
- Want the room dark during the day, or
- want the room completely dark during the night, or
- have particularly bright street lamps and want the room dark at night;
Otherwise, they're great curtains, especially for the low price!

Ordered these curtains to match my nursery - the color online (what looks like a rose pink) is not at all what the color looks like in person - bright fuschia. Not even remotely close. The price is great (I can't comment on the quality, as I didn't even open the package), but they need to make sure the picture matches better - I waited for these to arrive, and now I have like a week until baby arrives and have to order new curtains.

I bought these to replace "hospital curtains" in our bedroom that let in too much light. These are not black-out curtains, but are great for keeping it just dark enough to not wake up with the sunrise.
