Easy to install. Works well- gets very warm. only in for a month or so, will see how it holds up. If it fires up in the fall, no reason not to be 5 stars.

I installed this mat under the tile floor of a new bathroom I'm building. It is a well-made product and the instructions are very clearly written for even the beginner DIY'er. Follow the directions and be careful during the installation and you'll enjoy warm feet for years.

The floor warming mat is just what the doctor ordered under porcelain tiles in the upstairs bath.

ITS FINE TIL IT STOPS WORKING. SUNTOUCH HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY TOLD US TO GET A NEW THERMOSTAT $140.00 at Home Depot. 139.00 to Install. Still not working. Call Electrician. $218.00. One side works but not the other. Call Suntouch again can rent equipment for $35.00. Will supply patch kit for fixing problem. This is tumbled marble floor were talking about. It would be so obvious to just patch it. It is under warranty, but we r still supposed to do all the leg work ourselves. Then, if nothing works we r to get in touch with SUNTOUCH and they are not sure what they will do.
IT WENT OUT AFTER TWO YEARS. DO NOT DO IT. DO NOT USE SUNTOUCH!!!!!!!!
A professional installed it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KBRN How did I ever live without this?
We installed a new bathroom over the slab. I wanted under th
e floor heating, and my son the contractor told me it was wildly expensive, etc. etc. I went to home depot.com and read reviews; I reviewed the product manufacturer videos (which really help explain all installation issues), and ordered the mat for the floor. The mat was less than $150, the thermostat another similar amount, and other than that, installation of the tile floor was as per usual. Minimal extra time. And is it worth it? The floor is now a cozy 75 degrees on the coldest day (my choice of setting). Just lovely.

I was re-doing my master bath and a friend mentioned this product to me. Just be sure that you have 2-4" clearance from any cabinets/vanities. The floors are wonderfully warm and the timer is programmable to allow you to reach temperature. If you are redoing a floor, definitely consider this!
However, I do think it is a shame that they do not bundle the mat AND the thermostat together.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JamesO Tricky to install but we'll worth it!
Installed on wonderboard with 18x18 porcelain tiles. Double sided tape included stuck OK but also sticks to hands/feet as you work across it, and there is not enough included, in my opinion. Plastic mesh was a bit weird to have a grooved trowel against. I would most likely thinset the mat separately and then come back to do the tile if/when I do it again. The whole process takes a little longer than just doing tile but well worth it! Waited the full 28 days for everything to cure properly.
Personally did not go with the loudmouth and didn't need it. The wire is strong and well insulated. You would have to WANT to cut it in order to ruin the mat.
TIP: Make sure to cut a groove for the ENTIRE sensor (not just the end; the lead as well) because it has a large diameter than the heating wire.
