Answer:
If it is 1Amp for every 10sq ft then 4ft*2.5ft=10sq ft which is 1 Amp for this mat. Is that right?

No, 120V mats are specifically made to receive 120V. If 240V is applied to a 120V mat, it will damage the mat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from incomplete item too bad they dont tell you that you need a sensor wire, or that its not included in the package. REALLY???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Radiant Floor Warming Mat When I received the mat in the mail, the box included written iinstallation instructions as well as a CD with video and audio showing the proper way to install the mat. I found the video to be quite reassuring since I had never installed one before. My bathroom is small, so I only needed the 4 foot mat. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm the floor gets with such a small amount of power. I tend to leave it turned on all the time since it does take a while to reach the temperature setpoint. If you need to install tile in a bathroom, it's a small additional price to pay for the comfort of a warm floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for cold feet This is great for all seasons. All it takes is a little know how, watch the video and take your time. The wires can be damaged easily. But don't let that scare you, this is the best invention since tile. Not only does it keep the floor warm, but help warm the air slightly too. Think of it as radiant heat. Make sure to get a programmable thermostat though, it's a little more but worth it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm floors So far we are in love with our heated floors. A few tips and things I would do differently next time - read through entire directions first. We were frustrated to be ready to install to discover at the very end that we needed a GFI breaker. Also, would recommend splurging on the programmable and more expensive unit that allows you to set the heating unit on a timer. Floors don't heat up enough to notice after a quick morning shower unless you preheat them by 20-30 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent warming mat Heats my bathroom floor evenly and to the exact temperature I've set it at. FYI. You have to buy the thermostat in order to get the heating sensor that you must have before laying your tiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install works well the good stuff.. it works very well, doesn't draw much electricity. it's easy to install. the only negative I found is the sticky stuff to hold it down was hard to remove the backing didn't stick very well, I used an air stapler to hold it down. also, just a a note it only heats where you put it, it doesn't radiate out any further

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 Years and still working great We installed our SunTouch mat along with the programmable SunStat thermostat 4 years ago and both are still working great. Installation was easy. We are moderately experienced DIYers and it was straight forward. Tip for DIYers- be sure that your skim coat to bury the mat is consistently thick across the enitre floor surface. Otherwise your tiles will have a rise over the mat and could eventually crack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sun Tuch Flooring This the way to go if you want heated flooring. Simple instructions. Can hardly wait for summer to end to start using the heated floor.
