Rated 3 out of 5 by Time intensive You're better off paying more for a heat cable pre-installed on a mat. You will waste hours of time trying to get the cable spacing correct. The metal straps for tacking down the cables create high spots that raise the overall height of your floor, requiring more thin set than would otherwise be required. Spend the money on a mat and save a lot of time. If you buy it anyway, make sure you have a glue gun and lots of glue for keeping the cables spaced properly. November 17, 2013
