Customer Questions & Answers

Hello, I have two questions. First is this product fire retardant? Second can this product or should this product be anchored down?

Asked by: Sheri
Anchor this down with everything you have lol. It's made so cheap and so light weight that a strong wind WILL blow it over. I really don't recommend this shed!! The Rubbermaid Big Max isn't any better.

Vinyl Tool Sheds

Are any of these units insulated; can they be? Which are the types that are insulated?
Asked by: pltasker
Thank you for your question, Pitasker. Whereas ventilation is built in to each shed, none of the Suncast storage sheds, including model A01B28C03, are insulated the way your home might be. This does not mean that after careful thought and planning, you cannot install some type of insulation yourself; we just don't encourage this. Suncast has not done any testing regarding insulation. Consequently we cannot advise you how to do this or what to use. We would advise that any modificaitons to the original shed would void the warrnaty, so damages that could possibly result would not be covered. Thank you for your question and your interest in Suncast products.

Customer Reviews

10 ft. 4 in. x 10 ft. 5 in. Resin Storage Shed is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from ..... I do not see why people gave this shed such high ratings. The walls or so thin you can see sunlight through them. On top of that , the roof is zip tied together , literally , they send zip ties in the box! The whole shed snaps together , and it is flimsy .. You can lightly push the walls and they bulge crazy. It is def. not worth the price , and I wish I would have chosen something different. All this shed was made for , was for looks..I mean the window is a plastic panel they just stuck in , not glass , and there is no way to remove them. The roof I have found , leaks down the sun roof if it get windy and heavy outside. Not a lot but noticeable .If you are looking for a good quality shed , I would advise you to look elsewhere. All you are looking at here is trouble !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very flimsy, and cheap for the price All the reviews I read must of been put on by the vendor, cause if I had seen it before I purchased it, I would never of paid the price I did. until the roof got put on someone had to be holding some part of it to keep it from folding or falling. I am definately going to strap it down from one side to the other. Take my advise, Keep looking. I would of sent back if it was not so big and expensive to return.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Storage Shed Great shed for the price. . It takes a full day to put together. Some pieces are hard to line up but goes together fairly easy. Make sure its on a flat surface this will make the job a lot easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value for the money. I actually received the shed a few months back but it took me a bit to prep the site. When I finally got around to opening the boxes, the first thing that I did was an inventory. I found everything accounted for. Nothing was missing or broken. I thought that I'd need help with the assembly but I figured that I'd give it a go on my own to see how far I could get. The directions were easy to read and everything fit together perfectly. At the end of the first evening, I had the floor and walls assembled (2 hours). The second evening I assembled the roof and all of the assesories (2 hours). I have to say that the shed went up a lot easier than I expected and I didn't need any help. Not counting the time it took to prep the site, the shed took about 4 hours to completely assemble. The only thing that I can suggest is to make sure that your site is completely level...and I mean level. If it's off the slightest, you'll have problems snapping the pieces together. I assembled the shed on a cement pad which had a few dips in it. Because of the dips, I had to shim the shed in a few places to get it to snap together correctly. As far as quality, the wall panels could be a little thicker. I can see where snow weight may be an issue. The shed only comes with 3 steel floor to roof supports. I'm going to beef up the side walls with a few 2 x 3s. This will also give me a place to hang shelving.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The building is poor quality material for the price charged. I purchased a 6 x 8 Suncast building earlier this year. The material (side walls, etc) were made of much sturdier material thatn the 10 x 10 that I recently purchased. The walls are very thin. This was available to order online only. I saw the first shed at the local Home Depot before I purchased, so I knew what I was getting. If I could have seen the 10 x 10 before purchasing, I would not have bought it. It was way over priced even with the $600 discount that it had listed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy to put together I think the wall could be just a little thicker. To thin you can see light right through them were it's very thin. Other wise very easy to put together. Nice size. Thank You
