Yes, Just get the correct mounts. I would NOT use the little plastic push in things. Get the heavy duty one, the ones you have to hammer in to mount. There is a lot of torque on the device, you need strong

Answer:
Yes it can be mounted on a brick wall but don't use plastic anchors and screws. Instead, purchase some concrete anchor screws and drill to fit. You will find the screws over in the bolt department. The screws are blue in color. I tried using the plastic anchors but they fell out after two years.

Answer:
yes but you will need a hammer drill with a masonry bit and anchors. After marking on the wall where the holes will be, use a 1/4 inch masonry bit to drill the holes with the hammer drill. Use 1/4 inch plastic anchors with #10 wood screws and washers to attach to the wall.

The Suncast Side Tracker wall mount hose reel model STA100 can be mounted on brick or concrete block, Matt, but it requires different hardware from what is supplied. The mounting screws supplied will penetrate wood siding and sheeting. For other than wood siding, see your dealer for proper fasteners.
Based on the type and location of this hose reel, your Home Depot hardware specialist can determine the correct drill and hardware for your installation. Their store personnel can match the size and recommend the proper anchors and drill bits, with consideration for the weight of the unit, the hose, and whether water is in the hose at times. On concrete block and brick, you will need a masonry drill bit and masonry fasteners. Take the mounting screws to the hardware store for proper diameter for the mounting holes in the product.
Thank you for your question, Matt, and your interest in Suncast products.

Answer:
Don't know, but if this manufacturer is like others, the replacement parts are expensive. If all you need is the "O" rings, they are cheap and available in kits with multiple sizes. Good pricing on these. If you need the whole attachment that connects the reel to the incoming hose, manufacturer is the only place to get, and it is replaceable.

Answer:
I have two Suncast hose reels and after a summer they both leaked, one pretty bad. Instead of matching the existing orings, I was able to fix both by putting a AS568A Dash No. 116 oring (3/4 id, 15/16 od, section 3/32) all the way to the back of the the prong the reel slides onto. It's a bit more snug but so far it's prevented leaking.

Answer:
If you can't find the parts from the manufacturer or you just want to get them today, go to a local industrial supplier like Grainger or similar. They usually carry o-rings of many sizes and materials. Take the old one with you to make sure you get the same size. Be sure to lubricate the fitting and o-ring per instructions when installing.

I can't answer the question regarding the availability of specific parts, but if you go to https://www.suncast.com/order-parts you might find what you need. I was able to get parts from them for an older reel that I had.

The reel contains an out-let tube to which your garden hose will attach. If you look on page 7 in the assembly guide found in the Info & Guides box next to the Product Overview for this model, you will see and illustration of how the garden hose attaches to the outlet tube in the reel. The hub will contain an in-tube to which the included short leader hose will connect at one end, and at the other, this hose will connect to the faucet or water source.
With the reel installed over the mounting hub that is attached to the wall, water will flow from the faucet, into the leader hose, through the in-tube and the out-let tube and finally into your garden hose.

Answer:
Get a 4 or 5 ft washing machine hose. It won't kink as easy and they are available everywhere. About 10 bucks but they are sturdier than trying to splice adapters with hose clamps.

I would use a section of old hose and add female adapters to the ends. That way you can make it as long or short as you need.

100 ft. Side Tracker Wall Mount Hose Reel is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 119.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective design: two broke, each within 6 months I have tried this product twice. In each case it broke within six months. Both times the break was in the same spot, which is that same as identified by many other reviewers. Two other problems: first, it does not hold 100' of hose. My 50' hose barely fit. Second, the water connection on the reel (that allows it to turn) leaks so that water leaks down the side when the faucet is turned on. It might work for a very short, very light hose. But for any other use the product is defective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, however plastic tends to break. This is the second one I have purchased. I purchased one in 2007, and it lasted 3 or 4 yrs, until the wall mount broke. I removed and bought a different product at Walmart, but it only holds 50 ft of hose. So I repaired the broken one with some wood crafting, screws, superglue. That lasted 2 years, so I looked for another one. I could not find anything better, so I now have the same one yet to be installed. Perhaps the manufacturer, could provide some better plastic for their product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke twice I am very surprised that the buyer for this Home Depot department continues to purchase this item. I purchased one 18 months ago and the mounting back snapped off from the weight of the 100 ft hose after 8 months. I called manufacturer. They said that never happens! They made me dig out my receipt. They did send replacement part. After 8 more months, guess what... same thing. I just threw it out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product This is the second Hose Reel I have purchase from HD. I installed it on a brick surface and I would recommend using concrete screws not plastic inserts and screws. I have completed the install and all is well. The reel will not hold a 100 feet of 5/8" hose though I am sure it would hold that much 1/2" hose. Presently I have 60' of 5/8" hose on it. It works well and it does not leak.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money it broke in less than a year where it attaches to the wall and has leaked around the seals from day one. I've had another hose reel that pulls straight out from the wall and is still working after 8 years. Maybe would be good for a 50' lightweight hose.
Date published: 2016-09-01
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not well built I have a 100' hose and it does not fit on this real. Also the hose connection makes the hose kink badly. This unit is not heavy enough. I would not recommend this item.
Date published: 2016-07-19
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend The reel broke off the base as soon as I attached my hose and began to coil it. Almost like it was never quality tested to support a hose.
Date published: 2016-10-10
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont buy Just like everyone elses mine broke at the mount and no, it dosent hold 100ft of hose. Dont waste your money on this.
