Does this shed have pre-molded slots for wood shelves?

Yes. Space and supports for three shelves. Instructions show dimensions and how to install. You provide the 3/4" wood.

Hurricane resistant?

I saw that this can be secured to a slab using four anchor points in the floor. Is it also possible to secure the back or sides to an adjacent structure (using angle brackets or something)? Since I live in hurricane-prone south Florida, I want to make sure that the rest of the shed won't blow away, leaving only the floor behind. I realize there's probably not much that can be done to make it hurricane-proof, but I want to be sure that the sides won't get blown off the base too easily.

No, but then not much is unless you pay thousands of dollars to build a county permitted shed. That gets expensive. It's like building an add on to your house. So for now I bought this shed and placed it in my car port. In case of a size able storm I can strap it down to brackets on my wall.

Does it come already assembled?

Asked by: Gilbert
No. One person can assemble it. DO NOT use a rubber mallet you will dent the plastic. There are slide in tabs on the bottom of the panels. If you have a hard time, lay it on it's side and tap it in with the palm of your hand. You need a Phillips screwdriver for the hinge bolts. Place the floor panel on the ground first then start assembly from left to right. Screw the bolts into the hinges before you install them on the door panels. They go in from the bottom. Then turn them to fit. The instructions are confusing. Be careful installing the hasp on the bottom of the right door panel. Do not take it apart. Takes a little force to get it in place. The last part is the roof panel. Install the question mark type pieces in its location but do not connect them or snap them into the lid until they are snapped together.

2 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 5 in. x 6 ft. Large Vertical Storage Shed is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 268.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this shed. Roof separates from shed walls. I bought this shed in Feb of 2016 and 6 months later I realized that the back two corner of the roof were separating from the back to corners of the shed walls. Now there is about a 1 inch gap between the roof and the shed walls that allow bugs, bees and rain to enter the shed. I called the Suncast support line and they quickly saw the problem and sent me a new roof. I installed the new roof and within five days I notice the same inward cupping of the roof causing gaps between the shed walls and the roof. I called the Suncast support people again...and they want to replace the roof again!!! Really? its a design problem because the back of the roof has no metal bracket support like the front does. I ask to return the shed and they want to just send me a new roof. Don't waste your time with this model. Unsure about the other models Suncast has but this one is just a big NO.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice As with all these sheds, start on level base. I assembled on concrete and used a dolly to set on pad. Took me an hour to install by myself. I wish it came with atleast one shelf but i will order one. Instructions are a little bland.. i mainly used pictures. Tips for buyers... install the back peices first, then bend sides and install sides. A lot easier than instructions.

Fairly easy to install by myself in spite of multiple warnings to use "at least" two people. The shed is very well-engineered to facilitate assembly. Instructions are concise. A bit cryptic at a couple places, but I'd have to rate them well above average. The shed has already proven itself to be waterproof through our recent California torrential rains. I'm considering buying a second one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to build This storage unit is fantastic. We looked and looked for a decent sized shed that met the requirements of our HOA (not higher than our 6 foot fence) and finally decided on this one. This one turned out to be great. Easy to build and truly waterproof (it rains here almost everyday).

Assembly was not very easy. i had to hit some parts really hard to get them together. WD 40 helped. You must make certain the parts are completely together ,which was difficult. If the parts are together completely the doors work well. The unit is serving my purpose well.

Assembly was fairly straightforward, though the preformed plastic door latch on the lower left door would not stay in place. It has been water tight during several rain showers. The shelf (NOT included) was easy to cut out using the demensions in the manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! The hinges broke immediately. I should have complained and returned this storage shed the day we put it together. The hinges broke immediately and were never repairable. One door is completely off and now just leans agains the shed. I don't want to give it even one star.
