The reel is calibrated for 5/8 hose. It should handle your requirement, however it still depends on the weight of your hose.

I use 100ft NEVER KINK, easy to use with plenty of space. BE sure water is off and the sprayrt/ hose end is open wen using. The water preasure makes reeling much harder.

Answer:
When they state it will hold 225 ft. of standard hose, they're referring to 5/8 in. hose, which is "standard" hose.
If the hose you're referring to is 3/4 in. then it won't fit 225 ft., but will definitely hold 100 ft.

I would say yes. I have 100' of hose on mine. I would suggest you stake the unit to the ground. Also, when winding or unwinding don't have water pressure in the hose. I leave my nozzle open and wind it. It will empty the hose as you reel.

The diameter of the hole in the hose guide through which a garden hose would pass is 2 inches. You should have no problems passing two shorter hoses connected by couplings. Thank you, gardenlover, for asking.

225 ft. Swivel Smart Trak Hose Hideaway is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the one YOU want! Let me just say, this is a great product! Yes it may be more expensive then the other ones, but trust me when I say "one and done"! There are spikes to drive each side in the ground so you can easily pick up the end of your hose and just start walking away without the box moving. I like that it winds up SO EASILY! There is a threader guide for easy winding up your hose. No breaking your back trying to wind the dang thing up. No left over water getting everywhere. No trying to finagle the hose to wrap up the way you want it to. No hands spelling like tires. This is the hose wind up thing you want to get. Spend the extra money, you will never have to buy another one again. Sincerely, 30 something female that hates winding up hoses

I have a 120 foot hose and had previously purchased this companies 150 model. That model was flimsy garbage, most reviews said that this 225 foot model was much better and I believe that to be true. The hose guide automatically moves and the reel is much more robust. Note: The instructions tell you to bring it inside during winter, probably the only negative as that was one the reasons I purchased it...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for concrete. I bought this as a replacement. It might work if you stake it into the grass, but if you plan to use it on a concrete driveway be prepared to be disappointed! Yes, it swivels, but it also doesn't stay in place, The whole box will move. You can only unwind the hose by pulling it out the front of the box. If you are a few feet away and need more slack, you cannot just pull the hose and have it unwind like my other hose reels did. When winding the hose back up, i have to hold the top of the hose reel in one hand and crank the reel with the other, while constantly fighting with the hose hose to keep it straight so it winds up neatly. The lid also will not stay open unless you hold it. I've pinched my fingers several times having the lid fall shut while trying to untangle the hose. I am so unhappy with with this hose reel that I might give it away rather than deal with the frustration of using it every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I finally made the decision For years, I was told these hose containers were a waste of money. Yet, I have a very hard time neatly coiling long, heavy hose....I mean looooooong. When he wasn't looking, I ordered two, set them up myself and very pleased with how easily the hose is stored. No more hose strewn across the landscaping and yard....or worse, in a big spaghetti pile! I should have ignored the advice and bought them when I first saw them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Just had hose laying on the ground for the longest time and finally looked at different options and decided on this product, I'm glad I did. It looks very nice and just love how nice it works. After using the hose it just goes back in so easily. Would definately recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love our hose hideaways We had one at our previous home and when we moved we brought it with us. We quickly realized that we needed more so we purchased three more. They look nicer than the hose all over the ground. It's easy to extend and rewind the hose and the hose stays cleaner. Love it!

I have a well and pump located on the side of my home, that I use for water for gardening. I may need the hose in the front, back or immediate side. I also have a row of hedges just to the left of the pump. I can now roll up the hose from any direction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great The product was easy too assemble. Needs to be on level ground. The product is a little difficult to swivel and you may need extra hose to all a 360 swivel. The roll up works great although the hose needs to be in front of the opening to work best
