Customer Questions & Answers

Once assembled, is this shed light enough to be moved a few feet from its location?

I plan to put this up against a wooden fence but I foresee having to replace the fence in five years. If so, i'd need to move the shed out about 3 or 4 feet to get behind it to remove the old fence and put up the new one. Anyone have any idea? Thanks
Asked by: grut
Yes, I moved it (with some help) a couple of feet after assembly. My shed is on a concrete pad, so that makes it a little easier.

height of 7x3.8 shed?

my ideal size is 6width by 4 depth less than 7ft height
Asked by: Anonymous
Why does the product spec. list the width as 3 feet 7.5 inches, but the Suncast representative's answer here says the exterior depth is 32.5" deep. That's an important difference to me in figuring out whether I can store what I need to store (like a lawnmower). I hope the spec is right and not the response from the Suncast person.

Do I have to have a poured concrete foundation?

Asked by: Mdillon
No concrete necessary.... I made a frame of treated 4x4's and topped it with 3/4" plywood..... It is very sturdy and easy to screw the shed down to.

Alpine 3 ft. 8 in. x 7 ft. 6 in. Resin Storage Shed is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good shed Needed a shed to fit a small spot in my yard. This fit perfectly. Easy to construct. Seems like good quality so far. The Home Depot curbside delivery was the best...very convenient. My parents have a similar model shed that has been up several years and it's still in great shape. I recommend this if you need a small shed. Fits all of my lawn equipment and now I have my garage back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed! This shed was relatively easy to construct. The only exception being the roof. It was a little difficult for us "shorties" to slide together but after two tries, we got it. We also purchased the shelves and that was a nice addition. The shed is very stable and beautiful to look at. Also, it fit perfectly next to the side of our house. Oh, and the delivery was fast and the driver actually put the box in our garage!! Don't know if this is the norm but these seniors were very grateful as we put sections together in the garage and carried them, as needed, to the back yard. Awesome. Love Home Depot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Shed BUT instructions are difficult and... Finished Shed was stunning looking. I am a retired building trades professional and found the instructions to this item to very vague and difficult to understand. The screws provided should have been at least an 1/8" longer and a bit wider as they did not seem to hold it together well. In fact, there were not enough of them to complete the job and I had to purchase more at the local hardware store. That being said, I liked the peg system that held the panels in place and the Door Hardware was of the highest quality I have ever seen for a shed. This is WITHOUT A DOUBT a 2 man operation. You will not be able to do it yourself. It took us 4 hours to complete it. Once up it was very sturdy. Price was a bit high for the size of it but the "look" and Style of it makes up for the size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned out great- a nice addition to the yard. It was harder to set up than expected, but when it was done it looked great. I saw the 7' x 10' version at CostCo but that was too big for our space so this was a good alternative. It holds an electric mower, lots of tools, and some feed bins with room to spare.
