Thank you for your question, Shadowmom. The windows in the doors of the Suncast BMS6300 storage shed include two sheet panes and rubber gaskets that encase them within the frame in each door. These windows will effectively keep out rain and snow while allowing light to filter in and are not open holes in the doors.

This unit has a resin floor, however the instructions tell you to put a wood base underneath. I would not place the enclosed floor directly on the ground seems to flimsy to me and I would expect it to crack. Specially in cold weather.

They are covered with a tinted acrylic like square that you screw on the inside of the doors. If you chose not to screw that piece on the spaces could be left open.

Thank you for your questions, Breezy. Though we have not tested for the numbers of totes that can be stored within, we can give you internal measurements that might help you.
The interior depth of the Suncast shed model BMS6310 is 2 feet 4.75 inches and the inside width from side to side is 5 feet 9.5 inches. The interior wall height is approximately 6 feet. At peak height inside, it reaches 7 feet 6.25

At peak height inside, it reaches 7 feet 6.25 inches high, which may or may not be a help, depending on the size of a tote.
As for withstanding weather conditions, all Suncast blow-molded sheds, the BMS6310 included, are constructed of double-walled resin plastic and are weather resistant due to the plastic selected and the structural features in the product, such as overhanging roofs and overlapping panels. Designed for environmental temperature ranges found throughout the US and Canada, temperature variations will not affect the durability or function of these Suncast sheds. Consequently, your items stored inside will be protected from the weather.
We suggest that you measure your Christmas totes to determine how many might fit inside. The contents stored inside this shed should be well-protected without additional measures. We appreciate your concerns and thank you for thinking of Suncast products to fill your needs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Generater Shed Fantastic shed. Very well made. Easy to assemble. Love it!!! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everett tool shed The Everett is exactly what I wanted for my tool shed. Built some shelves and loaded it up. July 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice storage shed two of us... power tools..... 1.25 hours start to finish. Seriously.... get at least a power drill for this thing. Works okay - don't forget to put the cross pieces on the roof before you put the roof on. Like others have said - only confusing part of this. August 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Build! Easy to build, big enough for the lawnmower, and hand tools. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality, weather resistant shed First I poured a 6foot by 3 foot (4inch thick) slab of concrete using the fast setting Quickcrete (red bag). You don't even have to mix Quickcrete, just throw the powder in, then dump water on it and walk away (sets solid in 20 minutes). I needed 13 of these bags... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-50-lb-Fast-Setting-Concrete-Mix-100450/100318521 Then I put the base floor of the shed (included) on top of the slab and drilled holes in the four marked/recessed corners of the base floor, and through the concrete slab, using these concrete anchors (including concrete drill bit)... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Tapcon-3-16-in-x-2-3-4-in-Climaseal-Steel-Flat-Head-Philips-Concrete-Anchors-75-Pack-24365/100194089 Then I assembled the shed... very easy assembly. Panels including roof panels overlap with weatherproofing in mind. The doors are sturdy on the hinges and click shut for a weather proof seal. The door handles include loops to put a lock through for security. I am very happy with this shed, not to mention it looks great too! February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shed! Assembly was easy, straightforward and the shed looks great! June 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Storage for Beach Paraphenalia Got this to store a beach roller, chairs, umbrellas, and a host of other beach accessories. It is decent size and the beach roller fits perfectly opened up, no need to fold it down to store it. It is windy where we live and the doors blow closed on us when we are using it, so we've had to find some heavy weights or a board to prop them open to keep them from flying shut on us. It took a while to put together but was fairly easy to follow. One exception is that there are roof braces that were never mentioned in in the instructions until almost the last step and by then the roof is already secured on, so it is impossible to get the roof braces into place. We can see where they need to go, but without taking apart the whole roof there is no way to secure them in the slots. Overall we are pleased with the purchase and it is meeting the need for which we bought it. June 28, 2016
