Answer:
Yes there is a hole for a padlock where the roof and doors come together but it is flimsy. Locking it may deter honest people but anyone determined to do so would be able to break in easily. I don't put high-value or easily pilfered items in the shed. (That likely would be true for me for most garden sheds, however.)

Howdy Reba,
There is a part formed portion on the front right side of the lid and right door that allow you to put a lock on the lid. This will also allow you to keep the door from opening as well.
Happy Shedding,

Yes it has a nice vinyl type material floor that the sides attach to. The floor creates about a 1 1/2" high ramp to run your rolling equipment inside. The floor feels very firm under your feet and comes in two pieces that are screwed together.
Hope this helps.

Yes, the shed has a floor made out of the same material as the rest of the unit. Because the whole shed, while pretty sturdy, is comparatively light, I placed some bolts through the floor into the cement slab on which I placed the shed.

Yes, comes in two pieces and fits together like a puzzle. Seems pretty durable but you need a solid surface as a base or it will most likely crack at some point. It is just plastic. We put sand and pavers. Time will tell if that was enough.

Thank you for your question, Pete. The Suncast Glidetop shed model BMS4900 is engineered to be weather resistant.
Made from durable resin plastic with overlapping panels, an overhanging roof line, and a raised floor with extended lip on all sides, it is relatively rain and weather tight. Humidity, however, may be able to seep through the seams, since the shed is of necessity not air tight, allowing for natural ventilation. All in all, your stored items should remain dry.
We appreciate your question, Pete, and your interest in Suncast products.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 265 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Storage Shed This shed was super easy for two people to put together and it only took about an hour. I did not put it on a foundation since it has a built-in floor but the directions recommend it. It is the perfect size for squeezing in that 5 foot area between properties and the perfect height as to not be seen over the fence. Right now I'm storing all my ex-husbands stuff and later I'll put my kid's bicycle's in it which is what most people use it for. The shipping was $100 so that's why I gave it 4 stars for value but really it was the world's largest box so I have no idea how I would have gotten it home solo. The kids also enjoyed making the box into a playhouse. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed ! I put everything I need for oil changes and car washes in there and had enough room to put a folding table in there. A couple duffel bags and other things too. The sliding top is a backsaver. Assembly is easy. I put mine together by myself. No problem! May 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shed and holds lots of stuff This shed is easily one of the best purchases I made for organizing all our backyard stuff. I have a small yard so space is at a premium and my main goal was to house a beast of a snowblower that I bought last fall. After researching options large and small but keeping in mind that I have a small yard, I went with this option as the specs seemed to fit the bill. My yard has asphalt so I constructed a platform out of treated 2x6s and plywood. Then I put the platform up on pavers to let air circulation under the shed and minimize wood rot. The shed itself was very easy to put together and between 2 helpers and me, we got it done in about half an hour. Last step was to build a ramp out of leftover 2x6 treated boards. In terms of storage, it did what I wanted it to do. It kept the rain and snow out and protected my snowblower to the point it still looks new this spring. As the season turned, I was worried that I'd have to move the snowblower out and into the basement to be able to fit my lawnmower but the shed has just enough room to fit both. I was also able to fit in a number of lawn tools. Great buy overall and a lot more space than it would initially seem. Now I just need to find some hooks to organize the shed wall space a bit better... May 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to put together This is the second one i bought. I store 4 mountain bikes in them by reversing the bikes to each other. It took me 35" to put it together this time, 1 hour the first time - after i got it out of the box - which takes 20 minutes. I also like them because you can lock the handle & the glidetop, making it doubly secure - locks not provided. It is light enough to move with a little effort but heavy enough to not blow away in the wind & once the bikes are in it, its not going anywhere. The only trouble I had putting it together were the doors. HINT: put the bottom hinge in first & then swing the lower-middle one in. The directions are really good & DON'T OVERTIGHTEN screws, as they tell you. Except for 6 little screws that connect the floor slabs & 4 for the door handles which you need a screwdiver for, all the other scres are really easy to put in with the screwdriver they provide. A few turns & they are in.. See my photo. February 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Storage Option This shed was easy to put together and provided enough space for my winter equipment: generator, snow blower, leaf vac, shovels and sleds. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little storage shed I purchased this for my new little rear engine riding mower and it's the perfect size. I assembled it by myself with minor difficulty and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a larger shed. May 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Under deck storage solution Extremely easy to assemble and fit perfectly under my deck! May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product, easy to assemble The directions for this are great. If you can't assemble this, you can't assemble anything. It has an overlapping roof so everything keeps nice & dry. I put 2 adult upright trikes in it by putting one in forward & the other backward. Plus I still had room for a couple buckets of tools. Adult bicycles will fit in it but you have to angle them in & then straighten them out because there is a lttle rod that goes across the middle of the roof for support which hangs down a couple inches. I would say you could put 3, maybe 4 sdult bikes in it by doing what I did & reversing them to each other but I never tried because I bought it for those 2 trikes which took up a lot of room in my garage. I will buy another if it goes on sale, although $400 is a good deal. It has a hole which you can lock it with that looks pretty secure so I locked it.. The slidding top & doors work great. FOLLOW THE DIRECTINS & DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS, the plastic bolts & bolt tightener are provided so it is really easy to use. December 22, 2015
