Customer Questions & Answers

Can you open the front doors without opening the top?

Do you have to open the lid to open the front doors? So if something is sitting on top of it, can the front doors still open?
Asked by: bobsmith789
No. The top has a protruding latch that extends down into the right front (door) panel.

can 2 bikes fit inside?

need to find storage that will not cost a lot.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, easily but not upright. The tallest part of the interior cavity is 30 inches, which is 1 inch above the rim of the exterior walls. Most bicycles are much taller, so you would have to lay them down.

Can this be used as a bench? How many people could sit on it at one time?

I want to use this for a youth garden. It is very likely that visitors as well as the children will want to sit on this storage container while enjoying the garden.

I am storing plastic boxes with Christmas stuff and other seldom used items. We had a few days of hard rains and contents stayed dry. This unit seems to be of decent enough construction I think it should last long enough i doubt if it would last a 100 years of hard usage and i would not use for locking up valuables. but I am happy with purchase and would purchase again and would recommend to someone if they purchase the shed for what it is.d

Low profile allows it to be placed under a window. Relatively easy to assemble when you follow the order given in the instructions. Front doors do not have real hinges but rely on flexing of the plastic which will eventually fail. This is main reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Some means of holding the lids partially open would be nice. Doesn't have to be gas cylinders, just some kind of prop.

Not a drip of water got in during a torrential rain storm - impressive. The split-top lid provides easy access & stays closed even during breezy days. Two things might help with that. 1-It's installed on the leeward side of the house, sheltered from the wind; & 2-It's put together correctly. Keep in mind, it's not a "permanent" structure - it's a resin shed. Altho the lid is fairly heavy, it's designed to open with simple human strength - a strong direct wind would probably blow it open if it's facing directly into the wind &/or not secured or weighted-down. The double-wall (vs single wall) panels make this a solid, quality-built storage unit. Quick & easy assembly. The shipping box - OMG - super-heavy, very thick cardboard - it took a hacksaw to dismantle it into pieces small enough for the 95-gallon recycle bin. This is a great storage container - definitely recommend!

I have several suncast shed in my 1 acre back yard. This shed was packed well and I had it shipped to the Home Depot near me. The workers loaded it in my SUV and I unloaded it on to my sterdy wagon. I pulled the packaged shed around to near the location for the shed. I leveled the ground and assemble the shed with no problems.

Pieces that are supposed to snap into place are not long enough to do so. front door pieces won't allow the doors to shut and the interlocking to stay together. Really poorly engineered.

All the panels have their Position / Name on them. Just start on the bottom and work your way up. It stands very well. Although you can open the Front Doors for easy access. It is not really necessary as all items are in the open for a quick pick. It is built vey well. No it is NOT an old style wood shed or metal box. Why would you want that? This is Waterproof (not necessarily Water Tight), Dust Proof, Scuff Resistant, easy to clean, and lightweight. Snaps together very quickly and is solid - no tweaking or leaning. Just remember that this thing is very large. So it is best placed out of the way under an overhang so as not to waste a big chunk of land.

It may seem expensive at first, but after you build it and have it on site for awhile you'll appreciate the construction. We now have 5 of these units on the property and I have to say that the ones in direct sunlight all day look the same as the ones in the shade. The original three have been on the property for a complete season and they show no signs of fading or UV damage. A new unit was placed inline with two originals and they all three look identical. What I was most impressed with is how they recover from some idiot trying to stand on them or someone placing a really heavy 5 gallon bucket on the lid, causing it to deform over time. Remove the weight, let the sun warm it up and it will return to its original shape within 24 hours. You don't have to do anything.

I live in rochester NY and while I loved this shed, we had two wind storms in the past year, and the first time the wind moved the shed with everything inside, and the second time the entire thing came apart, in six pieces all over our lawn and we lost all the plastic screw parts. I am currently trying to get it back to together and find screw parts, but it does not hold up great due to the light plastic. had we not had two major wind storms, I would have given this a four, for being great but flimsy.
