Plan on some kind of base for the shed to sit on, either a cement slab, or we ended up building a wooden base made from treated 2X4's. Challenge: When assembling, the holes for the screws didn't always match up. We ended up having to drill holes to match up with some of the holes. With the base, the shed stands just about the same height as our 5 ft fence, so perfectly hidden from the front of the house. We easily fit a lawn mower and a broadcast spreader. We were also able to fit a wheelbarrow and a few miscellaneous things, but we will have to move things out to get the lawn mower out. It was a perfect size for our needs.

It was relatively easy to put together if you have the right tools and a 2nd pair of hands. Double check the instructions before you do anything as I did have to undo a couple things and redo because I put screws in before they were supposed to be. In the end, I made one mistake, but it didn’t seem like it was worth taking two giant steps backwards to fix. It’s serving the purpose I intended, which is to store my sons outdoor toys.

So, I will preface this with, I know it specifically says you should have 2 people to assemble. However, for some folks like me, that is not an option. This thing took me 7 hours to assemble alone & I have 3 degrees! I think most of it had to do with the terribly small pictures and unclear directions. I have put tons of furniture & electronics together for decades, but this by far was immensely painful to assemble. It would probably have gone much more smooth if the pieces had say, a sticker or welded description, marking it as 'A' or 'JJ,' etc. Also, the holes are difficult to see. Material is plastic, but hoping it holds up for a while. Definitely love the roof that opens with spring hinges. I have a problem with one of the pieces, right off the bat, and of course it's one of the most important pieces -- one of the hinges for the left side door won't stay attached to the side wall. Ugh. I will need to reach out to Suncast for assistance on that, but right now, I'm dealing with it.

We had planned on waiting to buy hybrid bikes until we could buy a shed to store them in. That's not happening anytime soon, so we came up with the idea to buy this shed, store our new bikes in it, and then use it for the garbage cans once we purchase the big shed. My husband is 6'4" and I'm 5'4"; both bikes have 28" tires and they fit with just enough room that they're not touching (bikes are loaded facing opposite directions). Bikes are upright on their kick stands and steady, but as a just-in-case measure we used a bungee cord hooked into the center back hinge to keep the bike in the back from falling forward onto the front bike. You might be able to squeeze one small child's bike in there as well, but it would be a tight fit. It's a great looking shed that's perfect for our needs now and that will hide those unsightly trash cans in the future.

Easy to follow instructions and very little time spent to put together. Interior space for storage is quite good.

Well built, easy to assemble, and more affordable than any other comparable storage shed I found. I highly recommend.

You need a good foundation for this shed. I used blocks then framed in 2x4s with a 3/4 sheet of plywood, applied a water seal and a termite block (bora care). Use a power drill for the screws and be careful not to over screw them or they will strip out the plastic. Spray a bug repellant inside and let it dry. Have fun, JR
