Customer Questions & Answers

Does the shed have to sit on a concrete base or does it come with a floor?

Asked by: Larry
Comes with a plastic floor. You still need to build a wood platform or have a concrete pad.

what color is the shed?

Does the shed come in tan color with a darker brown roof?
Asked by: Projectman
The Suncast Tremont model BMS8700 (8 by 7) is in the gray color family that includes vanilla sides, stoney doors, and slate roof. The Suncast Brookland model BMS7720 (7 by 7), also selling at Home Depot, is in the brown color family that includes sand sides, chocolate doors, and a slate roof. These are almost the same size, too.

I'm 5'4" (in decent shape) and did it by myself in about 3.5 hours one afternoon. Building the base took the longest - I did this the day before. The base only needs to be 8' wide, even though the measurement in the description says 8' 4.5". Anyway, if you follow the directions, it's a pretty fast process. Great, sturdy shed that we expect to last for years to come .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shed but could use refinement The shed is assembled and I am pleased with it. It did not get a 5 for three reasons: 1. The English instructions had major repition making me think I did not have all the pieces. I ended up using the Spanish instructions which matched the hardware I had. 2. The screws were to be tightened buy not over tightened. In some places the screws would lock in, but in others the screw spun lossely no matter how carefully you turned. 3. The screen vent cover was a simple, cheap screen door mesh. I would have preferred, and will attempt to install, an aluminum mesh or some other rigid material. Other than this, I expect the shed to last a good number of years. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice size, difficult to put together Nice size for the money and plenty of space. Make sure to build a second before putting together or ensure it is on smooth hard surface.putting together take I've and patience and 2 people are needed. We did everything as directions advised but the roof would not go on perfectly so we had to fill small hole with silicone to file he whole. Also had a make several new holes

I am disappointed the way the doors fit. I have to put an extreme bend on the left door to get it to close properly. The right door has to be kicked at the bottom to close it. I have had the shed for 3 weeks and assembled it the next day after I picked it up at the store in Sarasota, Florida.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shed great-doors tight The shed is great. Took about three hours to completely build. Had to use a bunch of shims under front corners and under front roof to crest enough space for doors to close. The opening was too small. Then hard to line up the lock. Now it's set up should be good for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smgdac First delivery was rejected because shipper had destroyed box. Home Depot sent a second shed with free shipping. Shed went together easily with no missing parts. There are a couple of typos in the instructions, but easily understood. Highly recommend product.
