Customer Questions & Answers

What kind of foundation is required?

cement slab? wooden skids? concrete block?
Asked by: Sammie
Concrete slab is preferred. I used a wooden foundation that is secured to the ground. If the area used for the shed floods easily, i would use a wood foundation that sits on blocks,.

Are there accessories that can be purchased for the Tremont series of sheds?

Asked by: TNGirl
Yes. You can purchase shelves and a roof rack that can easily install to the walls and rafters. Holes and slots are already on the walls.

Overall, a good quality shed, with attractive features and reasonable assembly time took me 8 hours with one person to include unpacking and figuring out the directions. Would have been nice to have two people when doing final attachment of roof to walls (one outside, on attaching inside). The door hardware for this simple shed was surprisingly high quality. Also, the hinge attachment was the easiest I have ever seen on a shed kit. Only complaint was the vent screen design was poor…a flimsy piece of screen held on by screws from the inside, with no inside frame to keep the screen from binding against the screws. Answer was to just barely tighten screws, then put a bead of clear caulking to seal so no insects enter. Also, just to be sure, I put a bead of clear caulking on skylights in addition to the provided rubber seal. Overall, great storage shed. As always, a good level foundation prior to assembly is critical.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shed Review Took the fouŕ hours to put it together, once platform is constucted. Platform matrtials were $292, plus another $250 labor costs. Labor to assemble shed was another $350. So, costs for purchase, shipping and construction will be right at $2000. Not sure it will withstand 2 1/2 to 3 ft snowstorms we get, jury still out. Skylights are too small.

Directions are terrible, you better have building experience, otherwise it seems to be a decent product. Vent screens could be a little better and should have something to cover the screens for winter. Meets all expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engineered as perfect as plastic allows! I am a contractor and I assemble products like this. Most of the time I substitute my experience to make up for poor engineering and terrible instructions. Not with this product! I did this start to finish 6 hours by myself once the 2 big boxes were unpacked and all pieces were laid out. You will definately benefit from a 8 foot ladder and a 4 foot folding step stool. If you are having problems with fit or level around the corners it is because you are slightly off level. Temporarily leveling will allow you to snug things up. If you have a lighter, low speed cordless drill driver, it is ideal. You can count on using about 250 philips head screws during assembly, and you will quickly get a feel for the difference between snug, and stripping. A low speed drill is perfect for feeling this out. In the initial stages of putting the walls up, i recommend a couple of simple clamps to hold the seams together while you screw in the 4 big plastic screws that secure the wall seams. I do not give "10s", but this project gets a 9.9 from me. IMPORTANT; FIND A WAY TO ANCHOR THE 4 CORNERS OR IT WILL BECOME A KITE IN WINDS ABOVE 40MPH

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad shef Nice shed. Biggest drawback is the instructions. They are not very clear. They should be improved with more detail and photos. I had to order additional screws for the windows which took about a week. Other that that you can't be it for the price and my wife lives the look!

I am looking for discount on this item. The shed is great. you need two people to put it up. I think the floor could feel more stable. You should sell ramp or make ramp to roll thing in and out.
