Yes. An adapter (HC5PL1-W) can be ordered ($6.50) to fit the opening.

What is involved installing in wall with adapter? Does current register plate get removed?

Asked by: Bob
Yes, you remove the existing plate and replace with the fan unit. The fan motor fits inside a standard vent. You'll have to punch out holes in the fan front plate to accomodate mounting screws... no big deal.

How do you set temperature on this fan

Asked by: Adam
Hello, The set point knob does not correspond to any temperature. When making the initial settings the Flush Fit Register Booster is using the ambient temperature as its set point. It will turn on/off with temperature changes relative to the initial ambient temp set point. As an example. Your room is 76 degrees and it is the AC season. With the Register Booster set on the COOL position (Blue Down Arrow) the Register Booster will turn on when it senses a drop in temp of around 3-5 degrees. This drop in temp will occur when the AC turns on and the cold column of air reaches the sensor. Once the AC shuts off, that column of air will continue to be exhausted by the Register Booster until the sensor registers the temp rise in the airflow. Please feel free to call us at 800-999-3267 if you have any further questions. Thank you, Suncourt

Flush Fit Register Booster Fan in White is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 97.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish it came with a remote! I think it works great. It does what I need it to do on my sloped ceilings. Although, I do wish it came with a remote, so it can be turned on and off from the other side of the room.

When I first plugged it in the fan had no power. After removing and reinserting the plug several times I got power, but then it was stuck in the "On" mode and the fan speed was stuck on "High." I reinserted the plug a few more times and briefly got it working correctly and the results were mixed. There was a noticeable increase in airflow, but not enough to raise the temp in the room even one degree. I also couldn't get it to turn off an on when the furnace turned off and on not matter how much I adjusted it. I have a higher efficiency furnace and the air it puts out isn't that hot. i suspect the fan isn't sensitive enough to pick up on the small temperate change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed hot Bedroom My daughter's bedroom in her new apartment was 2-3 degrees hotter than the living room and other 2 bedrooms. This slid right in and replaced the wall register. We acclimatized it to the temperature before turning on the air and set the rheostat according to the directions. Then turned the AC on and voila! The bedroom showed 73 as well as the rest of the house.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works OK It isn't a miracle worker, but isn't making things worse so we'll keep it and see if we can keep tweaking for maximum results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok. Hard to get thermostat adjusted. The unit does work good and boost the air a decent amount not alot by any means but good enough. The problem I have is setting the thermostat on the unit for it to come on. You want the unit to come on when the air comes on but once I got that setting right a few days later I would have to adjust again and so on. It would start not coming on a all with the air and have to be adjusted again. If the fans don't come on then there is a lot of resistance and you are worse off than before. Then if you adjust it to come on sooner it will never go off. All that being said, it works good but is to hard to get adjusted for proper operation.
