Answer:
No it runs all of the time with power. You can wire it back to your furnace blower or use the Suncourt DuctStat Temperature Sensitive Switch Model DS100 to turn the fan on and off when it senses a change in duct temperature.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice for normal use This is a nice two speed fan for normal use. However, I was trying to use it to get warm air from my pellet stove from the basement to the upstairs. It just doesn't move enough air for my needs. Nice and quite though. March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by QUIET and work Well The fan has worked beautifully. There is just one rub for me. The leads from the fan extend only a couple of inches from the housing. I had to splice additional wire to each lead to give me a few more inches to just get the leads into an electrical box for wiring. I really don't know how it is expected to be able to wire it into a box with only 2 inches of wire. Other than that, the fan has worked great. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad little fan Easy to install, it made the office seem cooler right away just by adding more air to the room. It said my first review was too short so like an ninth grade enlish paper I am filling it with things that don't pertain to the review just to fill space and get the teacher off my back. Another thing that should be said is, I hate attic work even in the spring it's hot up there, couple that with the fact that you have no room to work all in all it makes for a bad bad day. Oh and I hit a fireblock while trying to run the wires which started a big argument with my wife and I about the placement of the switch, but the fan it's good. April 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value used for a vent to pull smoking air out of room into a outside closet (not heated) very quiet and does a pretty good job, may add a second one on other side of room. Wife and I both smoke but even non-smokers say they can not tell we smoke have been using this process for several years after several years of maintenance fans need replacing and outside closet really smells bad but noting of value keep in there.
