Answer:
Hello,
We have Thruwall fans in our testing area that have been running for over five years. The fans have a one year limited warranty, but I would expect the fan to run in excess of 3-4 years.
Thanks,
Suncourt

Answer:
Hello,
No, a second variable speed switch should not be wired to the Thruwall TW208P fan. It is designed to run with the internal switch only.

Thru Wall Fan Hardwired Variable Speed is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well... I have a small 1000 Sq ft. home with two direct vent 22k btu gas heaters. I have one heater in a very small room and installed this fan to push air into the adjacent room. The installation process was simple, and I'm not handy at all. This doesn't fully resolve my issue but I'm impressed with its performance. It pushes enough heat to keep the next room comfortable. It's quiet and I leave it on and on high, all the time. It must be hardwired, no plug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefect Product for my needed project Was looking for a thru wall fan, that looked nice and would be quiet as well, this unit worked great. And the plus side it's variable speed. Installation was straight forward and instructions were good. I needed to transfer a little heat to and a joining room when the door was closed . We tied it in to a 110 volt thermostat to come turn on , on rising temparture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install, looks good, not best for our use This was easy to install and looks nice on both sides. It probably works great for a true room to room, but we have it pushing woodstove heated air to a hallway, and it isn't really powerful enough for that. it does a good job of removing the overheated air, but can't push it far enough down the hall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Quiet. This fan was easy to install, and is very quiet. The adjustable louvre is nice, too. We use it to move air from our PTAC unit past a new wall, into the living room in our condo. Did a lot of research, and decided on this one. I recommend it.
