Product Overview

The Sunforce 10 Amp Digital Charge Controller helps prevent the overcharging and discharging of 12-Volt batteries. Charge controllers monitor a battery's state-of-charge to ensure that when the battery is full, it isn't overcharged. Connecting a solar panel over 15-Watt to a battery without a controller risks damaging the battery and potentially causing a safety concern. This controller is able to handle up to 10 amps of array current and keeps 12-Volt batteries in a fully charged state. The battery's voltage is displayed on the LCD digital meter.

  • Helps prevent the overcharging and discharging of 12-Volt batteries
  • Keeps 12-Volt batteries in a fully charged state to maintain voltage
  • For use with 12-Volt solar panels and batteries only
  • Handles up to 150-Watt of solar power
  • Handles up to 10 Amp of array current
  • Small and compact for added convenience
  • Maintenance free protection of your solar panels and batteries

Answer:
Please note that this charge controller is strictly for 12V systems. It cannot be connected or adapter to a system where 12V batteries are in series. The batteries would need to be connected in parallel, to function as a 12V system.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little Controller It's a great little controller for standard voltage panels (<24VDC) under 10 amps! Digital readout displays battery voltage and 3 LED's show charging state. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solar controller Perfect complement to the grape solar 100 watt panel I purchased at the same time. Both arrived quickly, 3 days apart. Charge controller was easy to set up and works perfectly. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 10 AMP charge controller So far i am happy with this model. I was creating a solar charging station using a deep cycle battery and a solar panel. This charge regulator works great so far. I have not had the chance to deplete the battery as to see how fast it will charge off the panel, but when I connected the solar panel to the controller and to the fully charged battery, the unit did the trickle charge function. I used a multi meter to test on the battery side to measure how accurate the regulators built in voltage meter was and the regulator updated faster than my multimeter. There is a 30AMP version, but this one will allow for 2-70watt panels which is good for laptops, smart phones and other common devices. February 21, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by works but its not really digital this controller has a digital screen that tells you the battery voltage only! it is a solar charge controler? but it doesnt tell you what the voltage/amprage from the SOLAR panels is, or if you are getting the best charge... so basically it has a light to tell you when its charging and another light to tell you when it's charged, and another light to tell you when panel is producing electricity, but the digital screen is just sitting there sucking a minute amount of power ALL the time just to tell you what the battery voltage is.....worth a lot less if you ask me.. needs an on/off switch for sure....product does work though and is better than nothing, i had higher expectations for price though. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by True Quality I have this charge controller mounted in my truck for my solar panels. My truck isn't my daily driver and has 2 batteries (7.3L diesel) so in order to keep them in top performance, I purchased some solar panels and soldered them to the end of this charge controller, wiring the other end directly to a RigRunner (multi-port fused auxiliary power point). Bottom line, this thing is amazing. It's accurate and I am always able to see the voltage which is one of the best features! April 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Coulda been better Seems to be doing the job that it was designed for. The order took two full weeks to arrive, which was disappointing considering that the 100 watt solar panel I ordered with it took two days to arrive and in perfect condition. This units' third digit LED has an element that its not displaying, but I can read the other two digits so can figure the correct voltage by reading what does display. It is not worth the hassle to request a warranty replacement...as long as I had to wait for it to arrive initially! Not impressed with the QC at all. July 3, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Really nice controller for a small system (under 150 watts). Delivered in 8 days in perfect condition and I had it connected and working in under 10 minutes. Wiring is light gauge but absolutely functional. October 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great starter charge controller I'm just getting into solar power for my RV and this was inexpensive and is doing the job. I have a 100w solar panel also from HD that generates 5.5amps max and don't really plan on putting anymore panels on my camper. This is a perfect size and capacity for my needs. I would buy it again.
