Product Overview

The Sunforce 10 Amp Digital Charge Controller helps prevent the overcharging and discharging of 12-Volt batteries. Charge controllers monitor a battery's state-of-charge to ensure that when the battery is full, it isn't overcharged. Connecting a solar panel over 15-Watt to a battery without a controller risks damaging the battery and potentially causing a safety concern. This controller is able to handle up to 10 amps of array current and keeps 12-Volt batteries in a fully charged state. The battery's voltage is displayed on the LCD digital meter.

  • Helps prevent the overcharging and discharging of 12-Volt batteries
  • Keeps 12-Volt batteries in a fully charged state to maintain voltage
  • For use with 12-Volt solar panels and batteries only
  • Handles up to 150-Watt of solar power
  • Handles up to 10 Amp of array current
  • Small and compact for added convenience
  • Maintenance free protection of your solar panels and batteries
  • LCD digital display continuously shows battery voltage

Can I connect this controller, parallel to a 30 amp controller for 40 amp capacity?
Asked by: Sonicwave
The 10 Amp Charge controller must be the only one connected in line, and cannot be connected in parallel with other controllers.

10 Amp Digital Charge Controller is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Controller It's a great little controller for standard voltage panels (<24VDC) under 10 amps! Digital readout displays battery voltage and 3 LED's show charging state.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 AMP charge controller So far i am happy with this model. I was creating a solar charging station using a deep cycle battery and a solar panel. This charge regulator works great so far. I have not had the chance to deplete the battery as to see how fast it will charge off the panel, but when I connected the solar panel to the controller and to the fully charged battery, the unit did the trickle charge function. I used a multi meter to test on the battery side to measure how accurate the regulators built in voltage meter was and the regulator updated faster than my multimeter. There is a 30AMP version, but this one will allow for 2-70watt panels which is good for laptops, smart phones and other common devices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Coulda been better Seems to be doing the job that it was designed for. The order took two full weeks to arrive, which was disappointing considering that the 100 watt solar panel I ordered with it took two days to arrive and in perfect condition. This units' third digit LED has an element that its not displaying, but I can read the other two digits so can figure the correct voltage by reading what does display. It is not worth the hassle to request a warranty replacement...as long as I had to wait for it to arrive initially! Not impressed with the QC at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality control The controller is compact and solid feeling. The wires used to connect to the battery and solar panel are low quality wire and will barely meet the DC current requirements. Unfortunately this unit was defective right out of the box. The display did show my battery voltage, but all 3 LEDs would indicate nothing and the unit was not charging. My panel was producing 18vdc. My panel has clearly marked positive and negative leads but I checked them with a meter to make sure they were correctly labeled. I also connected to the battery before I uncovered the panel so there was no load on this controller when I wired it. So, I did not short the unit or create any surge condition. For the price I'm sure this unit is of value, but I need something extremely reliable because I can't afford a failure when I'm many miles back in the deserts of Utah. I'll spend more to get a quality unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solar controller Perfect complement to the grape solar 100 watt panel I purchased at the same time. Both arrived quickly, 3 days apart. Charge controller was easy to set up and works perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and Inexpensive Bought this to help charge RV battery while dry camping. Coupled it with a Grape Solar 100W panel. Worked great and kept the battery up all week, although we really do conserve our usage. Grape recommended a much more expensive type of controller, but we just added the MC-4 connectors to this one and it worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and has a voltmeter The indicator lights and voltmeter are important items in a charge controller and this one has everything you need to get the job done plus it has a 10 amp rating allowing the input from more than one solar panel. You do have to solder or attach the wires to clips or plugs to utilize it properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Quality I have this charge controller mounted in my truck for my solar panels. My truck isn't my daily driver and has 2 batteries (7.3L diesel) so in order to keep them in top performance, I purchased some solar panels and soldered them to the end of this charge controller, wiring the other end directly to a RigRunner (multi-port fused auxiliary power point). Bottom line, this thing is amazing. It's accurate and I am always able to see the voltage which is one of the best features!
