Product Overview

The Sunforce Pro Series 1000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter powers your AC appliances or electronics directly from your 12 volt battery. Pure Sine Wave inverters provide clean power with very low harmonic distortion, no static or humming noise. This inverter will therefore supply stable power to run tools, air pumps, small motors and refrigerators that a modified sine wave inverter cannot. This product features two 110 Volt AC outlets and 1000 watts of continuous power so you can operate more than 1 appliance at the same time.

  • Connects to a 12 volt battery and converts DC to AC pure sine wave for power on the go
  • Computer-regulated overload protection with auto shutoff and a soft-start system protect connected components
  • 2000 Watts surge power and 1000 watt continuous power at 60 Hz for running most home appliances
  • Overload alarm with an LED light alerts you to input overloads
  • DC input overload voltage and output overload protection help prevent damage to the components and the unit
  • Short-circuit shutdown protects electronic equipment
  • High-speed cooling fan and overload temperature protection helps keep the inverter running at a safe temperature
  • Low-battery shutdown feature
  • Includes two 110 volt AC outlets so you can power two devices at the same time

The 1000-Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter has divided load of 500 Watts per channel. For a continuous 800 Watt draw we recommend our 2500-Watt unit.

In this case another ground rod or other electrode is not required and is discouraged as this could cause problems. Read Less

Answer:
This will vary depending on where you install your inverter (for example a vehicle or a cabin). Usually a short-run 12 AWG wire should do the job. Please consult with a certified professional for further grounding information.

Answer:
Deep cycle batteries are ideal for this type of application. For even better results, you can look at the different technologies within this category, such as AGM, gel, etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is not durable. I bout this inverter on oct.15,2014 and connected to 12v battery in November. It worked great for only 9 months and totally failed. according to my experience, 9 months is to short for such types of products. Therefore, this product is not durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from About this Inverter I purchased this inverter 1000 watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter Pro Series to use in emergency times when the power was out. But I also like to experiment with things. I am retired and my wife and I need some kind of emergency power. I want to say I have other inverters that are modified sine wave but they will not run nothing but some lights. But we needed something to run our induction motors because the modified sine wave would not even start them. I tested this inverter on two induction motors one of which was me drill press with a 1/4 hp motor and the other is a 1/3 hp induction motor. The 1/3 hp motor has a running watts of 800 and it takes about 2X that to start it but this inverter will start and run it with no problem. The plastic fins on the outside are only dust covers design to look good. The real heat sinks are mounted on heavy heat sinks on the inside so when the fan comes on to cool, it directs the cool air flow straight through the heat sink and coils. This fan hardly ever comes on unless the inverter in at almost full power output. I will say this is a very well built inverter and if you know anything about electronics you will appreciate this quailty that is built into this product. I am a Electronics Engineer so I do know something about inverters. I rigged up a 3hp gas motor to a delco 105 amp alternator which has a built in regulator and I am using just a car battery because all my power in coming from the alternator and the battery is only there so the alternator will work this way you can use a cheaper battery because it never goes dead with the gas motor running. The reason I use this setup is because keep in mind that you will have to have a large bank of deep cycle batterys for long time use. You can get the larger inverter then you can have a 4500 watt power plant to run just about anything in your home. I only needed the 1000 watt inverter. Keep in mind that a Pure Sine Wave Inverter uses more power that the modified sine wave inverters. It works well on just a battery to but you will need to keep it charged often. To make a long story short, the setup I make above will give you the same power that a gas generator provides at the same rates watts and the sine wave is much cleaner than the gas generator. I have monitored all the out puts from this inverter and it has a 60hz 118v ac with 1000 wats steady output. I give it a 5 *+

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Put simply this low end poor quality inverter. When it is on it has fan running on n off even with nothing running. Its noisy, like the ocean is rolling in and out several times a minute. It also gets warm, too warm imo. Much of its chassis is plastic and shaped like a heat sink which obviously does nothing to cool it down. You can only hand tighten your cables with plastic knobs for terminals. The LED display is as bright as a bar open sign. The frequency on this thing fluctuates around 61.3 Hz. Maybe I could go on but basically I returned it after a few days after it used up my 250ah battery bank with nothing plugged in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An excellent inverter for computers, HDTVs & electronics which require clean power Pros: overall, the SunForce 1000 watt inverter is a nice unit. During power outages, it produces clean power for my computers (I work from home sometimes) which I run off of an Optima sealed battery, periodically recharging it using the my car. Cons: hidden in the manual, the 1000 watts is split across the two 115 volt outlets meaning that only 500 watts is available on each. During a power outage in the winter, trying to run a 900 watt room heater from 1 outlet won't work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drains bank I bought this 1000w inverter last fall and have tried everyway in the world to utilize it. I can't run a compact fridge with it as the fan runs every few seconds and pulls more energy than the fridge. It has worked okay to run a drill and small saw but pulls too much energy to use full time on my 450 AMH system. I keep it turned off most of the time. I am not at all happy with it and looking for a better replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good inverter I use this inverter on an RV to run a toaster, coffee maker, flat screen tv, sat box, ect. runs these with ease. I use 3 100ah agm batterys. Does not come with mounting brackets. Remote control is a plus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less efficient but worth the price overall Unit was packaged well with OK documentation. Build quality is OK. Thumb screw nuts worthless to tighten for 100 amps plus draw - replaced with SS nuts and washers. Required the 12 volt equiv of 560 watts to produce 400 watts of 120VAC. Judging by AC motor performance, the sine wave was decent and acceptable to me. LED DC voltage readout was always .5V low. Readout continuously shows AC volts (???) and displays DC volts and current draw only momentarily when selector is pressed. Remote worked well and for me tilted the scale from 3 stars to 4.
