are you sure this unit comes equipped with an inverter? That seems unlikely. A charge regulator and an inverter, I don't see how that is contained?

Answer:
It is attached to the pole by 2 Allen wrenches. The pole will need a hole or slot cut in it for the wires to come out of however because the wires come out of the bottom.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hooked it up and the charge controller doesn't work or charge the battery was easy to set up, and remember to use wire attached to your pole, n,s,e,w, or 2' circle and 2' deep of concrete. We had 57 mph winds and the wind turbine is 20' up on a pole and 2 of the blades broke. I am trying to get 2 blades for the last 4 days. July 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wind Power! This is the most wonderfull most important investment I have made for my family and I. We live in a very ruel area and the power gives out many times. Cost of candles and batteries. Gas generator did cost plenty. And GAS prices. Whew! Thank you Homedepot you have saved us time and money. May 24, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 400 Watt AirX Wind Generator This little unit is awesome. It does not connect to the grid, but has a terrific output. A bit of advice: Be sure to use the proper guage wire for maximum benefit. May 1, 2010
