Customer Reviews

Solar Ventilator 1000 is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective batteries I bought 2 of these solar vents. Both had defective batteries. When the batteries are removed, the fans work off solar alone, but don't move much air. The battery and solar switches both provide power to the fan, but only when the battery is removed. Also, the cheap plastic construction will likely shatter the first time someone accidentally steps on it. I should have bought a 12v stainless steel dome vent, instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth It... With a bright, sunny sky and no clouds the fan turns but there is no noticeable air movement. I didn’t expect much but I figured I would at least be able to feel some kind of air movement. If it’s a cloudy day forget about it. This thing needs FULL sun to operate. I do like to be able to turn the fan on/off with a switch but the battery is useless. You have to manually switch between solar or battery and it will only operate for a couple minutes if it’s fully charged. I put this on a small chicken coop where there is no available power and now I’m kicking myself for putting a 4” hole in the roof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price I purchased 2 of these solar vents for my sailboat. One blowing air in and one blowing air out. They work well even in low light. The only complaint would be they are a little on the noisy side. Great value for what you are getting
