What are the base dimensions?

Looking for the distance between columns, centerline to centerline.
Asked by: Whoopla
Reading the reviews and based on the fact that Sunjoy didn't give an exact answer, I'd have to say that it's probably a 10' x 10' footprint and a 12' x 12' overhang.

This gazebo look lovely when it is new and I appreciated the mosquito netting. Sadly the fabric perishes. It lasted the first summer, here in New England. We remove it in fall and reinstall for the summer. By the end of the second summer it has faded and torn and is not useable. I don't consider this a throw away item. Too expensive to buy a new one every 2 years. I would buy a replacement cover, but it sounds as though they are hard to get hold of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd Gazebo I've owned This product is far superior to the one I purchased a few years ago. The frame has less columns (4 vs. 8) but because they are bigger and better braced it's better (less columns in your way). The cloth is much heavier as well and comes with 2 curtains vs. 1 before. The inner curtain is the mosquito netting and the outside curtain (they call it the wall) is thicker and well made and is impervious to light. Why you would want to close this is beyond me but it looks good tied up to the columns. The fabric roof is stretched tighter and is thicker than my old one too. I sunk cement screws (4 per column vs. 2 on my old one) and seems to be very secure. The directions are good until you get to the curtains then they are poor but eventually we got it right (3rd or 4th try).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid Sunjoy Products I have had this unit since January 2014. At first I was very pleased. However after only1 and 3/4 years the canopy started to tear from exposure. I live in southern California near the cost so weather here is good. After contacting Home Depot to get replacement I was given a contact number for Sunjoy. I made initial contact 4 weeks ago and placed an order for a new cover at which time they charged my credit card. I have heard nothing back from them since and every attempt to contact them has been met with recordings. I have left several messages and have yet to hear from them. I am now in the process of contacting my credit card company to address.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This gazebo is a great addition to my patio! I love this product! It took 2 of us about 3-4 hours to set up. It would have been better with one more person when putting top on, but we managed. We weather treated the top before using. We also bolted it to the deck. We have had the product for about a month now and we love it! We have had some windy days and a few days of heavy rain, and it is holding up just fine so far. We haven't had to use it yet, but I like the netting and curtains too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoying this product Put this together, with some help from the wife, in about 3 hrs. Went together pretty good. Only had to redo one part... had the corner roof supports upside down. You need a 8 foot ladder to get the top on. Need to refer to the pictures a lot to know how the curtain rails go, to the inside. Make sure that you lay out the big top canvas to make sure you have the part that hooks over the roof support rails on the downside. The ties are for the little mesh screen on the very top. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent quality This product is as advertised and lovely, only bad thing, lousy directions for installing both sets of curtains, but we managed after a few false starts. Hint, netting on inside, heavy curtains outside:-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! Well constructed and thought when it was engineered. 90% of the splice's or connections are bolted. The main beam that surrounds the posts acts as the support for the roof is spliced which is a weak point but on this model they made use of other brackets which span across those splices and makes them rigid. Easy to put together. very happy with the product. I was going to buy one from Lowe's but that was all push button joints and loose. Lucky I found this one! The only thing the manufacture should change is dump the pan head screws for assembly, you can get in to all the screw heads with a regular screw driver and can't develope the correct torque for tightening. I recommend to all to do like I did and change the bolts out to cap screws so a wrench can be used. It was a lot easier for assembly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunjoy... A joy!! Put this gazebo up myself. It can be done. It's been up for one month and has withstood 30 to 40 mph winds. Our deck is in the sun most of the day. With the sunjoy gazebo, we can enjoy our deck all day long. I waterproofed the top before installing it so that we can sit out in the rain. Also installed rope lights around the inside perimeter with a dimmer switch. It's a great addition to our deck, and well worth the money.
