Engineering a rather large pergola. My engineer is a perfectionist and wants to do the job correctly. Does anyone know the weight of a panel. It doesn't need to be 8 feet but give me the length and weight. I can figure out the rest.

Answer:
Good Afternoon,
You can cut the panels by using a circular saw with a reversed plywood blade or a pair of snips. If using the saw to cut, try and cut several at a time (no more than five) and clamp the panels to help avoid vibration when cutting.

Answer:
It is not recommended to walk directly on the panels. Instead use a board or sheet of plywood that spans multiple rafters to distribute weight and provide a stable surface.
