I would say the products quality is poor or there is a debris jamming the mechanism like a pebble.

We have Water Pressure of 100 PSI. What happens if we use Model 55100 for a 32 ft radius?

I tried it and when I tried to adjust the radius it suddenly shifted to a jet stream that went clear into the neighbors yard. Was that because of the pressure limitation?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello this is Tangelo from the Home Depot Community! Unfortunately the maximum pressure is 50 psi. You may want to contact Orbit directly at toll free: 800.488.6156, or email at and see if they have a solution. I hope this helps, if you have any more questions you can find me on our website at

Super-Jet Pop-Up Impact is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from spinklers get stuck in one position I bought 7 of these and installed them recently. All of them will intermittently get stuck thus flooding the areas. I am in the process of changing them out to Hunter rotors. In the past, I have had rainbird mini and maxi paws with great results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from needs lots of attention i've been using these for a 3 years and a few times a year they get stuck and had to squirt the head with pb blaster or wd40. it then will work for a few more weeks. i've had one totally blow out recently. the seal down in the body gave out and water just gushes up so now i've learned my lesson. i'm not going cheap anymore and going to upgrade to a different brand

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the cheap price I am replacing all of my gear driven units with the pop-up impact style...about 20. They are so much easier to control to not have over spray all over the sidewalk, road, car, etc. IF, you buy the right ones. I purchased three of these from H.D, (I love this place), and one of them did not work straight out of the box. It got jammed up on the return cycle and nothing I do can correct it. The other two are both doing the same thing after 4 weeks. They are all going straight into the trash, and I am replacing them with the other brand that are still working beautifully after more than 1 year. H.D should not carry this is junk! Now I am replacing my replacements...Lesson Learned. Pay the extra $5 and get the good ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Orbit Super-Jet - DO NOT BUY The orbit 12 sta timer I have is great. The oribit pop-up spray sprinklers I have had zero problems with. However, the one Super-Jet pop-up I just bought and installed as a head replacement got stuck in place on the 3rd or so use. I should have heeded the other reviews. Back to the store it goes. Hello Rainbird.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jam Up! I purchased this as a replacement for an older head made by a compeditor (which looks identical except for color.) It does the job but if I don't keep an ear or eye on it it occasionally jams, i.e. it locks up in one position. The old head did the same thing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I bought this because it was cheap. It worked for 9 months, then it wouldn't retract. Since it comes with a 6 year warranty, Orbit sent me a new one. When I installed the new one, it doesn't rotate. Even when I rotate by hand, I can feel resistance. I contacted Orbit again, but Orbit no longer responds to my email. Don't buy anything from Orbit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated Review_Positive for Orbit SuperJet I recently gave the Super-Jet Pop-Up Impact a poor review based on it getting stuck in position while watering on the 3rd or 4th use. However, this was during a time a day I normally don't sprinkle. I had turned on the heads manually that afternoon so my son and I could run around and cool off on a very hot day. So I left the Super-Jet in the ground, ready to buy a Rainbird. However, not being able to get to the Home Depot that quickly, it was time for the SuperJet to water based on the normal evening cycle. It popped up, ran fine, and has been doing so ever since. Its possible there was low pressure the day I witnessed the failure. So I am not replacing it. The only problem I had with the Super Jet prior to the one I just installed was that when watering was done the cap would not fall back into place and I eventually accidentaly kicked the head off. Thus the recent SuperJet popup purchase. As I said before, all of my other Orbit purchases (timer I bought plus one that came with home, plus numerous pop-up sprinklers and 4 automatic valves) have all operated flawlessly. I have also found their instructions to be the best. I plan to update this review again in the future.
