How can a ceiling fan be mounted to a faux beam?

Asked by: trudy
You will need to use a ceiling fan extension downrod. The fan should not be mounted directly to the ceiling beam. All of the weight should be supported by the downrod. When inserting the rod through the beam, make the whole a little larger than the rod to allow for a small amount of movement.
