7-3/4 in. x 6-1/8 in. x 14 ft. 9 in. Faux Wood Beam
This is a great product to give any room in your house that heavy beam construction look. The beam is made out of foam so it is very light. Thus it can be attached to any wall or ceiling. The inside is hollow so you can use pieces of wood to mount it to the wall. The ends of the beam are finished. In my case I opted to do a 45 degree angle on the ends as shown in the picture. The beam took the Acrylic paint well and it turned out really nice for my mantel. I love the hollow inside because I run my TV wires through the beam over to the neighboring shelving where all the equipment is. This is a great product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BathtubBOB finest beam I have seen
This is the finest faux beam I have used. No repeat pattern and finished ends. It is a hollow center foam and very easy to install. It is light but the imprint is a perfect match for a real beam (which was the original source of the pattern).
I will special note the great packaging for this beam - It was shipped by truck and hand delivered with care. It was boxed on a triple wall box reinforced with two eight foot 2x4's to prevent bends and breakage. I was super impressed with the packaging care. See photos for packaging.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KAMProperties Nice Looking but Inside Dimensions Different
So you never realize how long 14+ft. is until you have the box sitting in your hallway, because it's the only long enough space to temporarily hold it, until you can install it. Case in point w/ attached pic. They packaged it pretty well, with lots of warning signs to the shippers (also see 2 pics); however I was kind of surprised that they did not house it in any form of bubble wrap--only shrink wrapped it, which was very thin & [too] easy to poke thru. That being said, I received it without any damage to it, so am happy. I did not include a pic. of the outside because I felt the online picture really captured it pretty accurately. It has enough varying tones of brown in it, that it can go with just about any decor, or other dark to medium wood finishes without clashing. It is accurate with the overall dimensions; however, and this is a BIG however, the open cavity inside it is misleading. As you will see by the one picture, there is a "bar" running across ea. end, within the cavity space. This is about a foot in, and is on BOTH sides. If you are planning on covering any 2x4's with it; which you need to be able to, to have something to mount it to, then you have to work around those separators. Using separate, smaller 2x4's at ea. end, and then a larger (about 12ft.), in the middle will work. I had a non-load-bearing wall that I took out, which I was planning on covering the opening with this faux beam. I will still do it, but will have to reconfigure the remaining 2x4's in order to work around these embedded bars. Another option might be for me to cut away at those bars, in order to fit a full length 2x4; however, I'm not sure I want to do that, as I don't know if it will affect the integrity/strength of the piece. If this review site will allow me, I will add a pic. later, once I've installed it, but I didn't want to wait any longer to get in my overall review.

I ordered this, not knowing where it might go in my home, but hoping we would like it. Yes, yes, yes! It looks super realistic, and I wish we could have multiple, as running several across a ceiling would be ideal. I am currently deciding whether to put my (one) beam in one of these applications: on top of a doorway opening between the kitchen and great room, cut into small sections to hang in the dining room. along a wall in a French country look. The beam looks super good, was packaged and shipped so well (the driver was fascinated by it and told me he wanted to buy one!). It's very lightweight, so trimming it, moving it around as we decide where it will end up, hanging it, etc, are easy. It looks REALLY good!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MomtheBuilder Easy Install, Looks Great!
I put one beam up on the ceiling between our living room and dining room. It arrived undamaged in a very long box, well packed. It is very lightweight (my kids and husband had fun joking about how strong they were as they would lift it before installation.) The hardest part is finding the studs in our ceiling, and then affixing wooden 2x4 blocks to the ceiling that the beam would be screwed in to. Careful measurements are a must. I did use some adhesive on the ends of the blocks before attaching the beam, and used about 6 brown 2.5" deck screws along each side of the beam and into the blocks. I don't think the adhesive was necessary with all the screws, but that is what installation instructions called for so I followed them. I also drilled pilot holes through the beam and blocks before screwing in place, just to make sure I didn't damaged the beam. It makes a nice visual divider between rooms. We knicked the beam a few places during installation, so I'm going to refinish those places with some stained wood putty. Not a big deal since the beam is rustic-looking already, most people wouldn't notice if I didn't even retouch it. Nice product.

We love the product but were unable to order a second or third due to manufacture being out of stock with an unknown date of resupply.

These beams were everything we hoped for when we selected them. We finished off a bedroom and had the beams put across the ceiling. They were rustic and looked real. No one can believe they are not real wood. I would highly recommend them.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LittleBigHart Fun, lightweight hollow fake wood beam.
I can lift this over my head with one hand if I get right in the middle. My kids think these are a riot. Looks like wood from a distance but does not feel like wood and is hollow. Feels more like very compact styrofoam. The wood stain is on 3 sides and the 2 ends, the bottom is open, kind of like a trough, and is vanilla colored. The brown stain does rub off a little on my hands while carrying, but the beam has been outside for over a week now and the stain has not washed off yet even in heavy rain. I think it's an interior stain so I don't expect it to last outside, but will paint with exterior stain when it starts to look ratty. I have 2 of these beams, one a little shorter, and was hoping to make a bench out of them, but I don't think they will be sturdy enough to sit on. So, instead I placed them over a couple of wide but short steel posts and made a garden fence. I was thinking I could also turn them upside down, drill drainage holes, and hang 'em and use as a planter to extend my berry garden vertically. (My strawberries are going crazy and I'm out of room om the ground.) Could also be used as a garden border, but because it's hollow, rodents might find it a handy tunnel to travel by. So far, though, the rodents haven't nibbled on it. I don't have enough beams to hang up on the ceiling inside, and I'm not sure I'd want to. I think I'd want real wood beams if I was gonna go to that expense. Still, you could place vertically or horizontally and use as a message or kids' artwork board. Not sure if sturdy enough to install hooks for bags and coats but can easily use tacks or pushpins on this material. Very easy to work with because it is so light.
