Answer:
With pumping, it's less about the distance as it is about the height you are lifting water. A long distance with minimal vertical height is perfectly fine for this pump.

Answer:
We did not pump the water out to the street, but it easily pumped water over twenty feet for us.

Answer:
You will have to measure the rise of the water as the distance from the base of the pump to the top of the pipe where it goes horizontal then calculate the flow. But realistically, pushing water that far (150 feet) through only a 1 inch pipe is hard. You would be best to up-size the pipe to 1-1/2 inch or up-size the pump to a larger HP.

Answer:
Hi Scott,
In order to answer this accurately, we would need to know the total rise, this is the over all height over the 150' the pump will have to move the water through. As an example, if you are having the pipe come 4' up from the pump then run 150' horizontally it will pump but will only have about 5-8 gallons per minute flow at the discharge.
Thanks

Answer:
Hi Jack,
I am sorry to say that none of the switches we use will turn the pump on at less than 4". They usually turn the pump off at 1-1 1/2" depth.
Thanks

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressed with the New lightweight sump pump. I am Very impressed with the New Superior light weight 1/2 HP submersible sump pump. Even though it is so small and light weight (only 9 lbs) it is very powerful and it will move up to 55 Gal. of water per minute. This pump is made of corrosion resistant thermoplastic and includes an adjustable vertical float switch with piggy back plug to automatically turn the pump on/off. This offers a very powerful and energy efficient (measured 5.4 Amp) thermally protected motor for longer life and durability. I love the new pump feature which is, a stainless steel impeller. The dual piggyback power cord is like that of the tethered float switch, but it is vertical float switch. Overall, a great product and very easy to handle. April 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Has the power and won't rust With 1/2 HP, you have the power to handle most average pumping jobs. This particular pump is best for permanent installations in a sump as it is plastic, and may not hold up to being transported. Being underwater all the time, metal and rust is the enemy of pumps, but with this thermoplastic casing that will be one less thing to worry about. The vertical float switch is adjustable if you need to leave a larger pool of water in the bottom of the sump. It also has a separate 10 foot power cord, so when you need to replace the float switch in the future, it is modular and easy to do. Because of the piggyback nature of the switch plug, you need extra space at the outlet for the plug. A suction screen on the bottom can be removed, cleaned and replaced for those times when you need to service the impeller. I recommend adding the Superior Model 99555 Check Valve which has adapters for all types of connections. The pump has a built-in air lock hole. In my case, I needed a pump to drain my pool on occasion for cleaning and servicing. It worked fine for that. And it shuts off (using the float) when left unattended. While the cord length is claimed to be 10 feet, the usable length is 9.5 feet, so take that into account on your measurements. i wish they would add 6 inches to their cords to account for the part that goes into the pump and switch. A 3 year warranty is average for these types of pumps. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Submersible Sump Pump This submersible dump pump arrived very quickly and was ready to use right out of the box which is a huge selling point. Plus it is easy to handle yet powerful enough to easily and efficiently do the job of pumping the water out of our koy pond or from our basement. It will be easily stored as its small size allows us to set it on a shelf when not in use. June 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Sump Pump Great, thermoplastic pump design which saves some weight without sacrificing pump durability. Ample power cord length to get the pump down a relatively deep sump hole and still have cord left over to reach the outlet - other pumps I've seen fall short in the cord length. Built on float switch operates as it should and the pump is as quiet as it should be despite moving a GREAT amount of water per minute! 1-1/2" NPT port. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Sump Pump When it was time to replace the sump pump that was nearly 30 years serving me, I shopped at the Home Depot looking to replace it. I found exactly what I needed, not only and excellent price, but easier to install and lighter in weight due to the newest materials. I found it to be stronger in power, quieter ,plus very effiecent. An excellent choice,so if you are needed one, look at this one to meet your needs. May 3, 2016
